About Tacoma Narrows

Tacoma Narrows ALMOST make rock music with alternative country roots. Post punk influences turn moody pop numbers on their side with guitar textures that would make Sonic Youth proud. Kirk Pratt's songwriting, owing a debt to mid-period Byrds, Gram Parsons, The Band and Elliott Smith anchors the sound with sincere vocals, catchy melodies and finger-picked guitar. A pulsing rhythm section drives with hypnotic precision. The effect is like an old folk ballad played by a kraut-rock band. This is rock music for record store nerds and your mom.
