About the Artist:

For all of his life, Jeff Moy has been surrounded by music. He composed his first song when he was 10, and has since written hundreds of songs for a variety of purposes and genres. Early on with his friends, Jeff played bass guitar in various rock bands, with limited success. Although he did most of the songwriting, he was never able to fully express his ideals, being that he was far removed from the center stage of the singer or guitarist. And with no real leadership in the band, the resulting songs were far from the perfection that Jeff had imagined they could be.  After the end of four years in college, Jeff decided to spend his time working on his own music, completely on his own. He began to spend every day writing, producing, and recording music. And this project became known as “Tadashi”, a band name that simply and strongly points directly to the songwriter and singer.  Jeff's music, at its very core, is a tale of emotions. A song, with all of its technical underpinnings, should tell a story or inspire a feeling. It should connect with the listener deep in their heart.

Jeff self-released his first EP, “The Wanderer”, in November of 2008. His second EP, “Lies”, was released in February of 2009, which is completely recorded, produced, and mastered by Jeff.  Following the release of the 2 EPs, a live band was formed with guitarist Dan Spannraft and Vlad Shapochnikov, bassist Chris Walls, and drummer Paul Lucas.  With the formation of the full lineup in late 2008, the band has practiced in preparation for a string of summer shows.  The band is working on putting out its first full length release sometime later this year, currently titled “Stars Align.”  As of the fall of 2009, Vlad departed from the band to continue work on Two Star, thus having Jeff take over duties as the live rhythm guitarist as well.

As of now, Jeff continues to write the music he loves in hopes to share it with the world.
