Taffy's is southwest Ohio's home for original, acoustic based music. We pride
ourselves on supporting the independent musician and host a variety of different
genres including Folk, Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Native American, Christian and
instrumental music and poetry. Taffy's is a family friendly establishment and
performers should consider this before submitting material.
Taffy's will appeal mainly to three types of musicians, Regional acts, who wish
to make Taffy's a regular home and build a following, traveling musicians who
have an off nite between cities and wish to pick up a gig to fill out a tour,
and established acts who can set a ticket price and are looking for a great
sounding, intimate venue. With a seating capacity of 66 and great sound anywhere
in the house, Taffy's offers a premier setting for an original music showcase.
Our regular schedule of music, unless otherwise noted, is Friday nite from 8 to
11 p.m. As a coffee house, pay is based primarily on tips and sales of
merchandise, but the house does its best to help the musicians, based on sales.
All the members of Star FK Radium really enjoyed performing at Taffy's this past Saturday night. We really enjoyed the other performers and meetign everyone. We'd love to come back on Friday, June 8th, 2010 if that works.
Just wanted to thank you again for your support of local original music. Taffy’s is an oasis for frustrated musicians (such as myself) who are starved for a venue (and an audience) with an open minded, positive & welcoming vibe. Frequently my experience with club owners is, shall we say, not the best (see my blog “booking the gigs”). You on the other hand “is – are - is the man”. Friday night, at the anniversary party, for example, when you brought the 15 year olds up to do 3 songs, before Eric Loy went on, that was a very cool move, (as Little Steven would say). (You get it) There has to be an outlet for music that doesn’t necessarily fit the traditional “show me the money” or the “how many people can you get in here” or the “play something we know” venue. (God - don’t get me started) When I played up there, back in March, I was amazed that the audience knew the cover stuff I did, and I do everything from Prine to Pavement. Places like Taffy’s are few and far between. (Oh and by the way, sorry I was late, who knew it would take us an hour and a half to get there.) Love the regulars - Jerry Gillespie is a hoot with his “sittin’ on the couch” comments.
Hello music lovers in Eaton! I'm making my first return trip to Taffy's in... oh .... 4 years or so... Looking forward to getting reacquainted. Please visit my myspace page or gregmahan. com for more Mahan goodness. Cheers!!
Had to tell you that last night was such a good good time and the atmosphere just made us feel at home, you sure know how to make a band feel welcome and wanted. Hope you enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed Taffy's. See ya in June.

P/S our managers (Dad & Mom) loved the French Roast. LOL
Hey Manfred. Glad to see you are well. I am getting married next month. I'm now going to the Ridge Church in Brookville. I'm so glad that I am where I am, and I'm going to have a Christian husband, 2-14. I am blessed beyond my worth. Jesus has worked miracles in my life. I'm right where I need to be. If you still have blueberry coffee, I'll stop in sometime.....
Just a hoot out of your favorite Owl. Hope all is well with you. Congrats on your new ventures, hopefully I will make it in soon. Be blessed in all you do.
