As well as reading, dissecting, rejecting and then burning a Bible; studying, analyzing, denouncing and then shredding a Qur'an; followed by endless and repetitive reading of "Der Antikrist" by Friedrich Nietzsche. Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" is an excellent inspiration for the bleak inevitable future in store for this planet and us all.

TAGHUT originally formed in the throes of the millennium, the year 1999, under the monicker 666. The unholy trinity comprised of The Antichrist on Vocals & Guitar, T. Matthews on Bass and Luke Angelo on Drums. By 2001 they extended their monicker to Branded 666. By 2003 they managed to record a demo, but basicly did little-to-nothing to promote it. The songs emerging from the band were so full of hatred and malice towards not only christianity, but islam as well. Perhaps the first black metal band to be Anti-Islam, or Anti-Muslim. Misanthropic by nature, honest in principle, proud of their heritage, and not "American" by any means. By the end of 2006 the band had recorded an entire CD, recorded it themselves at a secluded studio in Western New York, and then self-financed the mixing and digital mastering at another Studio in New York. During this time it was learned that there were actually a few other bands using the monicker 666; a great Hungarian Black Metal band and an Industrial band, as well as a few others. We wanted a band-name that was ORIGINAL, and hadn't been 'taken' yet. And we found one that suits us perfectly. TAGHUT was borne into the world!!!! The band name is:
"the Arabic word taghut refers to idolatry, considered impurity. This can be anything worshipped other than the one true God (Allah), such as deities of other religions, people claiming themselves to be holy outside of Islam's definition, or the worshipping of ideas or ideologies before God".
Through the use of the internet, a record label was found that is brave enough to unleash this album of warfare. Primitive Reaction Records shall release the debut CD and it will be followed by a limited edition LP version as well. you guys are an amazing inspiration. I'm 16 and i've been writing antichristian and antimuslim songs and poems for three years now. up til now, i thought i was the only person with the guts to stand up against political correctness and piss on the koran. thanks for having the balls to defy the norm and piss off those who deserve it.
