Miss Tahoe Jackson originally hails from the Bay Area, from a musical family, a brother who was and is a bass player of Herbie Hancock and the Head Hunters, Paul Jackson and a sister who is flutist Joyce Jackson which such groups as Tower of Power, Weather Report,and sister Denise who has one of the best jazz voices ever..a father, a frustrated jazz pianist. Tahoe went to find her own voice...and headed to the Northwest and has been gracing the Pacific NW club and concert stages for almost a decade with her distinctive, and instinctive voice and passionate live performances. Many have compared Miss Jackson’s voice to the plaintive growl of Etta James mixed with the majestic grace of an Ella or a Nina. Tahoe has sung with many bands and artists from Hungry Mob, King Black Acid, Sean Croghan and, of course, Black Angel to most recently, Paul Brainard, and The Decembrists but she’s been laying low from performing for some time but now is back! She is currently working on her solo project tentatively titled “The Love Bully Diaries”. Known mostly for her powerhouse vocals and brash stage persona with “Diaries” she’s intent on showing her consummate lyrical skill and her exciting exploration with songwriting.
