About me: We believe that Tai Chi has so much to offer this world that there should be a place that brings it all together. Tai Chi Nation does just that. It's a place to discover, learn and develop your interest in all things Tai Chi. It's also a place to meet other Tai Chi people, find a weekend course, buy a groovy T-shirt, or even book an unforgettable Tai Chi holiday in Italy.
Committed to being ethical and bringing the benefits of tai chi and qi gong to as many people as possible.
Slow Down- a short film about Tai Chi by Luke Flegg for Tai Chi Nation.
This film features personal and insightful comments made by Tai Chi students and music by Leafcutter John.
Friends of the Earth's One-minute film competition
Any place can tell a story. It could be a shoe box under your stairs that smells of summer; a tree on the village green with a gnarled smile; a skate park where you first mastered a kick flip; waves crashing against the shore at your favourite part of the coast.
Your favourite spot might not be leafy or wild – perhaps it’s made of concrete but the people there inspire you.
We’d like to see passion for your bit of the Earth woven into your film. It can be anything from an action movie to a rom com to a documentary, but it must be just 60 seconds long – no more and no less.

The problem is that although most people (including myself) support freedom for the tibetan people, the dalai lama is treating his own people very badly. at present he is persecuting many tibetan monks, nuns and ordinary tibetans in the name of buddhism. his public views on religious freedom contrast greatly with his private hidden actions against followers of his own spiritual teacher Trijang Rinpoche. These actions are now coming to light and there is now a petition for the dalai lama to cease his own intolerance towards the buddhist practice of Dorje Shugden (practised by tibetans and lamas for many centuries and by many thousands of genuine buddhists worldwide). Everyone believes and respects the Dalai Lama because of who he is, but the hidden agenda he is following is really disturbing. Please pass this message on to as many people as you feel appropriate and/or visit http://www. westernshugdensociety. org/ and decide for yourselves, after all we all have the freedom to do so.
Thank you very much for supporting to unhold Justice in the face of Human rights violations going on in China, where thousands of Falun Gong practionners, Chinese Christians, Uyghurs muslims, Buddhist monks and all other victimes we won't forget are suffering.
Beginning in March 2006, The Epoch Times published many articles to expose the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China. For believing in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance...
A whole year has whizzed past, and we’re back at that point in our calendars where no matter how hard you try, everything is going to get fatter than usual. And 247 Magazine is no exception, as it’s a big chunky bumper issue that is literally bursting at the seams with thrilling stuff to keep you entertained over the next two months.
We’re featuring a great interview with Jenny Jones, she’s in the top ten female snowboarders in the world, and just happens to be from the South West. She’s our cover star this month too, because she happens to be quite hot. We also introduce you to Exeter musician Lack Of Afro, who is being compared to Mr Scruff, Quantic and Mark Ronson – move over lads, our boy is coming through! The magazine is jam packed full of interviews, news and reviews, as usual. If you’re stuck for ideas for New Years Eve, have a flick through our NYE Round Up, and make an informed decision (or just rock up to the nearest house party). We also interview Devonian quartet The Days, reggae legend Don Letts, the Cornish Party animals who are running the Freerange Party Society, and South West acoustic hip hop act N.U.M.B.
We’d also like to welcome on board our new columnist, Charlie G – he’s the DJ that Judge Jules called a “local trance hero” and he’s a party animal, so he knows all the best places to get your groove on! Read all about it on p 71.
And thanks to all who have supported us over the past year. We love you all and hope you have a lovely festive season and a bangin’ New Years Eve.
