Sturgis Baby Sturgis! If you are planning on going and just want to ride up with us then you are more then welcome for no cost, maybe a few bucks if you want us to haul your stuff. If you are looking for a spot to camp, we have a spot ½ block off of the main drag where it all happens right behind the Broken Spoke Saloon for only $200.00 for the entire week. There will be a support vehicle traveling with us so you can bring all the gear you would like and not have to carry it on the bike. Feel free to purchase whatever you like at the rally; we’ll haul it back for you.
We have a local guide that gets us into whatever venue we want and we do daily rides all through the black hills for no cost each day of the trip. If you want to ride that day then just get up and go with us, if you just feel like taking a day to bum around the vendors and shop then that is cool too. You need to purchase tickets separately for whatever concerts you would like to attend.
Females without a bike are welcome join us and ride with one of the guys (there will be plenty of volunteers) or ride in the support vehicle. There are several ladies joining us already this trip so it will not just be you and twenty guys.
Can’t make it the whole trip? We can haul your stuff up there and back and you can meet us there or leave the rally early whatever the case may be.
Contact me at Barclay.Mead@itsTopeka.com and I will give you all of the details.
New Weekly Article on itsTopeka. com! Ask Nurse Kelly - Introduction
Hi! I’m Nurse Kelly. Here is the first of a weekly column to tickle your senses and answer your inquiries concerning health related questions. We have all gone to our private physician wanting to ask something, but too afraid to let the words roll off our lips.
Now here’s an opportunity to be completely anonymous! I am starving to receive questions from you readers on health from personal to general, risqué to serious.
Am I qualified to answer your health questions you ask? Personally, I see myself as the female version of Dr. Oz, but with my BSN as a Registered Nurse and much more fun!
I worked several jobs to put myself through nursing school at Washburn and since I graduated with honors, I have worked as a nursing instructor in Medicaid and many years providing public health to our fair residents in Topeka!
Born and bred here, I never have escaped and am truly vested to make our community a healthier, wiser and stronger place to live!
I will share more about me as time goes on, because I am just sooo interesting (cough). But, mostly we will learn about that which peaks our curiosity of medical issues. So, don't be afraid to send me your questions....there is nothing too serious or too silly.
Until that time, please look forward to my next article entitle, "A Banana a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away AND Make You an Extremely Happy, Satisfied Person".
