TAJA HITS RADIO DISNEY !!!!
On the brink of major Pop stardom, Taja, comprised of Natalie on guitar, Ambria ..board, and LaShae on bass, is gearing up to take its youthful brand of music and fun on the road.
Taja was recently signed to be a featured group on Radio Disney’s incubator campaign—where they will be playing the singles, “All American Girl,” and “It's Gonna Be Alright” on their youth-brand stations nationwide. Having previously opened for such veterans as Jordan Knight formerly of New Kids on the Block in some of L.A’s most famous venues such as The Roxy on Sunset Blvd and The House of Blues at Disneyland and red-hot recording act B5 (signed to Sean P-Diddy Combs’ Bad Boy Records).
Taja (a word of Hindu origin meaning crown) is celebrating the release of its self-titled debut album on indie label NFE Records.
Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, the girls were discovered individually in a nationwide talent search by Atlanta and L.A. based producer Andrew Lane (Bad Boy, Keith Sweat, T-Boz, Dave Hollister, BackStreet Boys). Taja’s album is a mix of up-tempo pop/rock songs and ballads, primarily produced and written by Lane and the girls. The songs speak about experiences close to their hearts with common themes relevant to today’s youth.
Taja appeared as a high school girl band in the Disney TV Movie Pixel Perfect performing their original song “Don’t Even Try It.” Not only was the single featured in several scenes throughout the movie, it also landed a coveted spot on the movie soundtrack. They won raves at Florida’s Citrus 107.3, when they hit the airwaves with their single “All American Girl” and immediately shot to 2 in requests on the CHR station.
