Beautiful places where you feel at home. It's partial to nostalgia, but everyone knows what this feeling is. By gawd, it's golden. It's something I live for.
And now, for a candid interview set in the future, brought to you by Oprah and everything else that's right in the world:
Oprah: Tell me about yourself.
Josh: Well, people say I'm sarcastic sometimes and then they call me an asshole for it. They just don't understand me Oprah.
Oprah: Well, I'd say they are just assinine if they don't take the time to understand you like an adult would.
Josh: That's great to hear. You know, not many black women are smart enough to catch that you know?
Oprah: Wah?
Josh: Ah, gotcha Oprah!
*audienc laughs*
Oprah: Oh, you almost got me...on my own show too.
Josh: I know, I know.
Oprah: Well then, put us in your shows. What is it like to be you?
Josh: Well it isn't hard. It's just a lot of optimism. Like a trunk load of bradies about to get ransomed in some sex slave farm in the corrupt south east part of South America.
Oprah: ...
Producer: ...
Oprah: ...
*keeps smiling*
Producer: *whispers* I think it means he smiles a lot.
Oprah: So you smile a lot?
Josh: Excessively.
Oprah: Excellent. Now, how did you get to where you are today?
Josh: I'm a strong independant black woman, well, as much as yourself of course Miss Thang. I'm a fighter.
Oprah: Where are your parents?
Josh: Partial bastards. I'd like to think they moved to Portugal and taken over with guns by now...but they live in the next city over.
Oprah: And your posse?
Josh: My friends are great people. Seems like they are all going to grow up to be something special. Like life changing, you know?
Oprah: Do you think you are life changing?
Josh: I don't think I am. Who ever really thinks they are really? I just try to be.
My dream is to one day
Change the world with
What I have to say
I want to end wars
with the flick of my wrist
and the strike of pen
on paper.
I want to open an academy
when I'm old and wiser
then any great man
on the planet earth.
I want to have children
A family that will be
my reason to wake up
And find someone
who makes me smile
and trusts me without doubt
my dream is simple
to live and thrive
show others how
to do the same thing.
Live
Because no matter what
We are who we are,
and no one

This is a section that I've struggled with not just on myspace but my entire life. People ask me to tell them about myself which no doubt happens to everyone often, But the answer always seems to come up so short. I always tried to give the most exciting parts of my life in this doughy tribute and mocking tone to keep me comfortable about what I've experienced, or lacked I guess. It's hard to describe yourself. Here's my seventeenth try though:
I'm a boy with a boyfriend and that keeps me politically active and motivated. Even if I wasn't an automatic gay rights advocate, I'm still heavily into politics and one day I actually have dreams of being California's first openly gay governor (F.U. Newsom) with my leading boy, Sunshine (He fantasizes about being senator). Eventually we'll land in the white house on the same junkett we rolled into the governor's mansion with.
Other heavy aspirations involve writing. I want to scale the mounts of hollywood and new york and france's movie lots with screenplays. Oscar winning, Golden Globe trotting, marvelously praised screenplays. I'm in college to graduate with a major in Theatre Arts. I guess I feel like being grounded in the roots of dramatic writing will help me far more than any scamp course in some one year program. It's important to me that I understand where many people drive their inspiration from and which tee they practice at. Theater seems to be the source of sustainance so I trek it.
I left my family at the ripe age of nineteen to pursue a freer life where I could find who I was. Not just to discover the real me, but to find people who would mold and desire to build me up. To branch out and embrace the soul of independence as well as other human beings. I have met so many superb people in my lifetime. Parents of children they have not yet left behind, to parents who have all but abandoned hope. I've had friends who were racist and sexist and kind and who have hurt and delivered misery. So many people. To mention a few important bodies, Alyssa, John, Amber, Kiatlynn, Josh, Charlie. All people I intend to muse and write about as I invite them to house parties in the future because these are the type of people you stay friends with. You trust in their hearts and you breath their offerings in life.
Then there's love. The love you hear about when people get taken back suddenly to the days they kissed their sweetheart. His name's Alex. We met at a club where he was still contemplating coming out to his best friend. We had a water balloon fight, exchanged phone numbers, missed a protest, held each other hostage over the phone, lied to others about falling in love before the dust settled and eventually I asked him to be my boyfriend because it seemed like the most correct thing I've ever done in my life. He's the sweetest person in the world, but when he's with me, he gets more kind and more gentle (off occasions are obviously when we're sleeping together though. There are his parents and family and sister who are wonderful people. People who I admire and would be friends with had this be another life entirely.
Then there is my family.
The dad and mom who have grappled two gay sons, a bi-polar daughter, a alcoholic son, a handicap son, and two grandchildren. We're a family just like all others. All bringers and all takers are what we are. We love each other. Under neath all the shrieking mess, we love each other.
So there's me, not my life. I'm caring down to the last sense. The sixth and seventh sense that tell me if someone needs a hug, you give it. If someone needs a call, you make it. If what advice you're giving isn't working, try another. I'm the original strong independent black woman- self proclaimed, and I do a mean barbra streisand. I'm anti war, world hunger aware, big carbon foot print, liberal leaning boy who idolizes and looks up to Milla Jovovich. I have a knack for sensationalism and relaxing music and every once in a while I like to sing a song. I hate little ticking sounds people make like smacking their lips or even breathing. I have bad teeth but a nice smile. If you ever need a team though i'm good at casting. There's so much more train but too little track. At this I end till I come back. Bid farewell reader who bewares.
Who I'd like to meet:
this is my beautiful mother. CLICK ON IT TO COMMENT!!! She'll love you forever:]
Tons of people all over the world. Everyone who can teach me things I don't know. Nice people, with a sense of humor, and worth. Also -
I think it's time to get rid of this MySpace or at least take it out of commission. I know it's headed for a revival a few years from now when everyone is sad and lonely and they reach around in the darkness to find anyone who will talk to them but until then it just doesn't have that much use anymore. That's why twitter was invented. omg have you seen the twitter video from current? I bet you haven't. It's the funniest shit in on the motherfucking planet. See, you know it's funny 'cause I used a lot of cuss words. Have you seen that new show Merlin on NBC? It's not that great, the acting isn't all that good, and the plot is... well >.> BUT the homoerotic subplot is delicious! And they don't even try to be subtle about it, they really lay it on thick. I forgot what this comment was going to be about in the first place. Or right, Billy Mays! THE HORROR!!!!! Who is going to sell me things that I don't need!?!?!? I joke, but seriously that guy filled so many hours of boredom with his mildly entertaining infomercials.
My mom made an appointment for me to go to the doctor and when I refused to go she called my dad to guild trip me into going. I think I'm getting ulcers from the the psychological damage this has caused me.
hey you sexii beast :]]... well i was just reading your interview with oprah and i must say, i love the part where you say that you're a strong independent black woman!! lol you're fierce :]]]
*sigh* yeah, but I look like the male lead singer of an emo band. granted they look like girls so its not terribly insulting, with that pic id have to be a male emo singer.
Did you try to send me another video 'cause you have a comment saying "Ahhh hell nah alphabits and nothing relating to that. Don't get me wrong! Ahhh hell nah alphabets, is funny all on its own but it seems like there's more to this saga O:
