I was born in a small town in Nagasaki City on the west side of Japan.
In childhood.... Perhaps, on 10 years old (sorry, I didn't remember well..) I started to play the guitar by my brothers influence. It is starting point of my music life. When I was kids, I was crazy about a TOP40 music. It's as well as usual kids.
Gradually I was infected with Rock and Jazz music.
However, I didn't think that I wanna become a professional musician at that time.
Because fishing and basketball was the most important enjoyment more than play the music at that time.
I think that it's a natural choice when born in a beautiful place Nagasaki.

There are so beautiful nature and wonderful culture.
Please visit to Nagasaki City, if you can.. People and nature will welcome you. And, you'll be able to obtain various histories of Nagasaki, the cultures, and the blessings of nature...
I moved to this crazy town called Tokyo when I was 18 years old.
I started to work as a professional guitarist. It was 20 years old.
First of all, I worked as a backup musician with various artists. Such every day continued for about 7 years.
It was a pleasant experience (yeah, it was really fun everyday!). Because I was able to go to various cities and was able to watch beautiful scenery.
I started the career as the solo guitarist in 1990.
2 albums(1st album "SPEAKS", 2nd album "ESCAPE") were released as a Takashi Masuzaki's solo album in 2 years.
Afterwards I acts as a leader/Guitarist of the instrumental music
group "DIMENSION" since 1992.
This group has Kazuki Katsuta as Saxophone player, and Akira Onozuka as Keyboards player. They has a wonderful creative musical sense and so much talent.
I really wish to express my gratitude that i can make music with my wonderful mates. I think I'm so lucky. Because, 20 albums have been released as DIMENSION.
And, it reaches a worldwide scale. The day when new music can be made with you guys is not too far. YES, I sincerely wish that.
Unfortunately I can't speak english well.
However, I don't feel the necessity of the language. Of course, I know that a minimum word is necessary for communications. But I think it's not important thing.
Most important thing is love the music. And feelings that share music.
It will be possible soon and I should do it.
Finally, I'd like to inform of my recommendation new album. That CD is released about 3rd Album of my important friend in this month on Japan. Her name is Annekei. She has an amazing music and beautiful voice and talent. She's currently album produced various colors by a produce of a historical great guitarist as Lee Ritenour. Unfortunately I didn't participate in this great album. But I was participating in a work in her past. ( She already released two original album and also one collaboration album with Jack Lee) I know well her musicality wonderful well. Please enjoy this album in summer of this year. Please don't miss the excellent collaboration of a wonderful guitarist with a wonderful singer!
