Humble beginnings in the professional music scene as a piano player and vocalist in an Italian restaurant when I was 17, then moved into the coffeehouse circuit in college, and hit the band scene in 2001. Danny Simoes, Guitar ** rhythm and lead player....
48 years of graceing this earth with my presence and loving every minute of it. I have been playing guitar since I was 13, from basement bands to a few original bands, I now am having a blast doing cover tunes in Take Cover. My early influences were mostly The Beatles, Pink Floyd, my guitar teacher and my friends. I currently am influenced by any guitar player with the ability to rock me with their sound and emotion. I love well produced recordings of songs that can put a smile on my face. If I could have a wish it would be that playing my guitar would be my only job. That along with being the best I can be.

Tony D'Elia - Bass ** After years of study, you gig, you record, and all they put next to your name is 'bass.' It's not like playing guitar:
six-string, 12-string, guitar synthesizer, acoustic guitar. It's not like playing keyboards: piano, organ, clavinet, harpsichord, synthesizer, polyphonic synthesizer. It's not like playing drums: percussion, tympani, electronic drums. Bassists get just that single word: bass.

Joe Ward - Drums ** It all started for Joe when The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. Inspired by Ringo and then influenced by the likes of John Bonham, Ian Paice, Carl Palmer, Cozy Powell, and Buddy Rich, Joe provides energy and a solid back beat for Take Cover. He has been performing since the age of sixteen and during any given show; you will see him display his talent and enjoyment for playing rock, blues, metal, and dance. For Joe, it's all about the performance and audience involvement.
Some of Joes past bands include Mad Hatter, Barracuda, Innocent Victim, Vertigo, and Mirage covering the NJ and NY club circuits. He has performed at many venues including the Count Basie Theater and has opened for such acts as The Edgar Winter Group, Steppenwolf, and The Joe Perry Project.
Joe uses Ludwig and Yamaha drums and hardware, Paiste cymbals, Remo drumheads, Pro*mark sticks, and Gibraltar Rack Systems exclusively.
TAKE COVER - Takes on the best that Rock and Roll has to offer. We are a group of Six that consists of Two Singers (Male and Female) that can handle what ever is thrown their way, two guitarist that play both Lead and Rhythm while the backbone of the band features Solid Bass and Hard hitting Drums to get the crowd going. The music Take Cover plays is the best from the 60's to Present and is played with that extra edge that distinguishes them from the rest.
