Takero OGATA (a.k.a. Mundo Novo)

Takero OGATA (a.k.a. Mundo Novo) is a Japanese percussion player/composer. After playing hand percussions for Nobukazu Takemura's group "Spiritual Vibes" in the mid 90's, released 4 albums so far. The sound has a kind of down-tempo, chillout, lounge or nu-jazz feeling.

--Information--
The 1st album Takero has released in 1999 was re-released in June 10, 2009. The album is renamed as "Night Reverb". Just check out the music at the page below. The disc contains the track "Omnipresence" which is included in the Nujabes compilation CD.

90年代にSpiritual Vibesのパーカッショニストとして演奏した後に自己の音楽制作活動を開始し、Takero Ogata名義とMundo Novo名義で計4枚のリーダー・アルバムを発表。70年代のクロスオーバーに影響を受けたlounge、down tempo、chillout、nu-jazzテイストのサウンドを指向し、内外のコンピレーションにも曲提供。2006年、ソロ・ユニットMundo Novo名義の最新作"Mundo Novo"を発表。Lampのパーカッションも担当し、ライブやレコーディングにも参加。ポップ・プロジェクト、Minuano名義でリリースした二枚のアルバム「Love Logic」、「ある春の恋人」も好評。
