It might be rather "favorites" than "influences"...
My name is Takero OGATA (a.k.a. Mundo Novo), percussion player and composer. After playing hand percussions for jazz-bossa unit "Spiritual Vibes" in the mid 90's, I have started to pursue my own music and released 4 albums so far. The sound is so-called "crossover" which is the fusion of jazz, brazil, latin, lounge and so forth. Each album has not only jazzy but lyrical feeling, and the music consistently creates the cozy atmosphere. As a percussionist, I also play for Lamp, Japanese pops/bossa/rock unit. The 1st album I released in 1999 is going to be re-released in June 10, 2009. The album is renamed as "Night Reverb" and the new artist name is "Quiet Will".
