Rise Records artist, Take The Crown have launched into the ears of the nation. With the release of their debut full-length Relapse React recently they have thrown down the gauntlet with their synth driven agro-pop with a post hardcore twist. The band recently finished a national tour with Emarosa and Dead & Divine will be playing with Finch and Scary Kids Scaring Kids in California later this month. Forming three years ago these twenty-somethings have worked and chipped away at their sound, their craft and their career with the same passion that their music holds. From their first tour ever with friends and fellow Californians Eighteen Visions in Europe to hitting the road with LostProphets in the US, Take The Crown has always been a hard working band. “Taking Chances, Taking Crowns” (3 ½ Stars Out Of 5) ALT PRESS
“Take The Crown infuses their brew with more overt electronics, synths and samples, and the band’s catchy, room filling sing-alongs pop up in more than a few songs.” OUTBURN
“This band is definitely one of the top new acts of 2008 so far and everyone who's into bands like Saosin, Underoath and others should keep their eyes out for them.” PUNK BANDS.COM
“From the bands first song, “La Resistance” you’ll learn one thing from the bands music—the stuff is damn catchy. Built on an aggressive, poppy formula Take The Crown capture the attention of listeners from their opening notes and build upon it.” SOMETHING PUNK.COM
“high-energy vocals, fast-paced rhythms and rumbling backbeats. Take The Crown doesn’t compare well to the post-hardcore label it originally received, but definitely could be a contender in the screamo or emocore realms with the likes of LoveHateHero, New Found Glory, BlessTheFall or Red.” CLEVELAND LEADER.COM
