Solomon Tomer was raised with a classical music background by an eccentric countess in northern Bulgaria, but left home at eight years old to pursue his passion for blacksmithing. By the time he was fourteen he had made his way as far as Uzbekistan, where he met B.D. McGee.
B.D. McGee comes from a family of gypsies and is, in fact, magic. By the time he met Solomon, he had become renowned for his borderline-miracles. He once cured a man of leprosy by tying large stones to his legs and throwing him into a lake. No one ever saw the man again, but everyone was quite amazed when B.D. announced that he was no longer afflicted by the leprosy. Over the years however, B.D. had grown tired of his life in Uzbekistan, and was more than happy to join Solomon in search of adventure.
After roaming across the countryside (all of it) for a few years, they suddenly found themselves in the U.S. They both decided to start playing music and working in the financial aid offices. During Spring Break of 2007, they took a trip to northern Michigan, where they met Jake E. living in the woods.
No one really knows where Jake E. came from. He was raised by wolves, but most people are pretty sure he's not a wolf. His wolf-family was brutally murdered in 2006 by Michigan militia members who had run out of cans to shoot. He knew who had done it, but the police were never able to collect enough evidence to charge the culprits. Solomon and B.D. proved to be his saving grace however, and together they effected some quite excellent vigilante justice against the murderous Lions fans.
Having avenged Jake E.'s parents (and having had a great spring break), the three returned to Denver, and ended up playing in several bands between them. After somewhere between one day and sixteen years, or more, they formed Take the Mickey.
The three young gentlemen now draw on prior and current experience with their other bands Bangtel, Big Hollow, Holley 750, Sleezyloo, Ole Hickory and Ik. They are currently focused on making their live shows about more than just music, with the hope of providing an engaging entertainment experience for fans by utilizing comedy, dance and other performance elements.
