Boca Raton: A city better known for it’s luxurious shops, restaurants and beaches, has recently developed a group of five musicians who are changing the face of pop-rock. Take The Town formed in the late summer of 2009 and have been in the fast lane of uprising success ever since. Take The Town incorporates methodologies of a time when pop punk was something profound and exciting with elements of the direction in which it has turned. Simply put, Take The Town is the perfect combination of old school roots with a new school attitude. With the release of their first E.P. Making Headlines/Burning Classifieds after only two shorts months of playing together, the band was quickly noticed and became a local favorite. After playing throughout South Florida with some of the area’s best, Take The Town ventured upstate, touring in support of their record. With such a great response In May of 2010, Take The Town was featured in Alternative Press magazine as “hometown heros”. Their myspace and iTunes pages were flooded with new listeners and the band’s popularity grew substantially. Despite the lightning fast success of the band, two members decided to move on to pursue other goals in May of 2010. Although everyone involved was saddened by the news, all parties remain close friends and are ever so supportive of the decision. Take The Town quickly bounced back from the event though, and welcomed two new faces to the band. Fast forward two months and you have Take The Town pushing the limits of what pop-rock can be. With pre-production of their upcoming full length in the works, Take The Town will be in the studio in the fall and releasing the record in winter of 2010.
