Takilma's musical journey got its start in Northern California in the late 90's. Life long friends and musical brothers Justin York (vocals/harmonica), Brian Kinney (vocals/guitar) and Nate Hensley (bass) formed a diverse musical establishment know as Takilma. The band has always been a blend of good time rock n' roll, river delta blues wrapped in a jam band musical mentality.~~~~Over the years various musicians have helped bring Takilma to life as a live band. The bands first incarnation with Micah Carnahan (lead guitar) & Aben Vincent (drums) helped bring about the bands first full length CD "Shoddy Craftmanship" in summer of 2007.~~~~ The bands second lineup of Basilio Salaices (drums) & Eddie Loebs (lead guitar)helped usher in Takilma's second musical release "Keep'n Her Honest" in June of 2008. The band toured the west coast in support of this music release throughout the summer & fall of 2008. One of the last shows of the year for Takilma was recorded live and released as a live collection, Dec. 2008's "More live than you'll ever be... Vol. 1", capitalized on 2008's line up of Takilma. ~~~~In January of 2009 the band began recording sessions for a new collection of original music for release via the internet in Summer 2009. This new collection of music features new members of the band as well. Takilma will be announcing the new line up, the name of the new collection of original material being recorded as well as announce various show dates for Spring/Summer 2009. Takilma is destined to make 2009 bigger and better for the band than any year ever before!!! - catch them on the road this spring/summer! ~~~~ Takilma is currently available for booking for public and private engagements for SPRING/SUMMER 2009.

hey guys!!! I see RustyLand 14 is still on your play dates. AWSOME!!! Do you need anything from me? I will be draging up the trailer/stage again. Rusty rustyrussell@yahoo.com
The permagrin has gone from funny to lethal. We hope you guys are doing well. Justin is definitely the greatest of American heroes. Lucky bastards to have such a rad picture. We made "Your name here" a long time ago and once we had it up, I remembered that picture. That is truly gold! On Thanksgiving, J.C. did not want me to say anything about a holiday, so I snuck that picture in by saying, On this day, this is the only thing that Baconhawk is thankful for. I guess I should've asked, but I figured it was just free advertisement for you. I hope we're cool.
We are really looking forward to sharing the bill with you at Cheers on Thursday! It's going to be a fun night! You have some great rock & blues! See you there, Steve - vocals/guitar - Confusion Said

It was Easter. I was standing outside on a farm while waiting for a man to take me and some others to see the newborn baby piglets. I thought to myself that the man might appreciate an invitation to your show. It was then that I realized that I had COMPLETELY forgotten that the show was the night before. I had every intention to be there, but I 100% spaced it man. Sorry. :(
