Talawa nace como proyecto en el año 2006, sin embargo el concepto fue creado por tres de sus actuales miembros desde el 2001, cuando aún estaban estudiando en el colegio (secundaria).
Actualmente la banda cuenta con ocho integrantes que le brindan a la música que hacemos un toque único que la diferencia de la que hacen otras bandas. La palabra TALAWA proviene del decir jamaiquino "me lickle but me talawa" que es español es algo así como "soy pequeño pero fuerte", con lo cual nos sentimos muy identificados. Talawa, firmeza en la vida y en la música!!!
