   About Talisman the band
"A band of Philadelphia area rock-and-rollers... is proving that even musicians can in fact rekindle long-dormant collaborations with spectacular results."

-William Kenny, The Northeast Times

PHILADELPHIA, PA — In 1995, after relocating to Philadelphia, Talisman principal songwriter & singer C met future Talisman drummer Mike DeAngelis, who persuaded her to join forces, and they created the duo “C”. After about a year they decided to expand to a full, 4-piece band. The additions of lead guitarist Jim Nichols and bassist Steven Jay brought the group to its current lineup and re-titling to Talisman the band.

Clever combinations of acoustic and electric guitars, mixed with poignant and relatable lyrics, a solid beat, and great melodies that stick in your head, together created a great rock sound – and Talisman the band started building a loyal fan base. After several fun years, life got in the way and Talisman decided to take a break that turned into an 11 year stretch.

In the interim though, front woman C continued writing and performing acoustic solo work and collaborated with Nichols on a project called “Kitsch” -- a creative revisiting of some of pop music’s most forgotten songs (remember Thunder Island by Jay Ferguson and Shannon by Henry Gross?).

In late 2006, three of Taliman’s original members got together to remix Burning Bridges and Comfortable Love, with no expectations or pre-conditions. Nichols and DeAngelis were playing in separate cover bands, and C & Jay hadn’t been playing at all. The simple remix project lead to a complete reunification of the original line-up and Talisman the Band began again. They began rehearsing in the spring of 2007 to finally finish their long awaited full length CD, and started recording later that summer. Completed in the late summer of 2008, The Wicked World's Come of Age heralds some of Talisman the band's finest work.

Songs like Daddy’s Girl and Shadows are catchy instant classics that join the already memorable tracks Burning Bridges and Comfortable Love – making the band’s choice of radio-worthy singles to highlight on the CD packaging difficult.

CountryHome Forum, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , is one of the biggest Forum for country music in Europe and part of CountryHome, www.countryhome.de , Germany's Premier Online Country Music Magazine.

CountryHome Forum have more than 5,800 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 60,000 readers.

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.

I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.

Thanks
