McTeague by Frank Norris - one of the great muckrakers - mostly forgotten, along with the great Booth Tarkington. Fritz Leiber is fine as well. The Memoirs and Confessions of A Justified Sinner by James Hogg. Stevenson, Poe, etc. Crash by J.G. Ballard. Love non-fiction mostly however. History, bios, etc.

I'm the author of the e-novel Lords of Darkness - the story of Scottish cannibal Sawney Bean and his murderous clan (www.sawneybean.com). I'm also the author of the 3-act play about Martha Mitchell, Nixon and the Watergate scandal called "This is Martha Speaking..." which had its premiere in 2004. I'm on the board of directors of a not-for-profit corporation which not only shepards two historic theatres (one a true movie palace) in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, but vigorously promotes historical and cultural awareness through the arts. We stage various Film Festivals as well, including the annual Pine Bluff Film Festival, The African Heritage Film Festival, The Silents are Golden Film Contest, and the Martha Mitchell Film Festival.
I've been production/set/prop designer of films, television and commercials. Storyboard artist for features, MacGyver TV Movies of the week, and an assortment of commercials and theatrical promotional campaigns. I've designed posters, playbills, advertising packages and written PR materials for various arts organizations and film festivals in the US and Europe.
I've also directed documentaries, short subjects, promotional films, as well as being the co-director/co-writer/co-producer of the cult film SPOOKIES (AKA Twisted Souls); IGOR AND THE LUNATICS; and solo director of the feature film WUNDERLAND (now in post production - and yes, that's the correct spelling). Currently doing a bit of a re-edit on my documentary short film: "This is The Saenger Theatre."
I was also the co-host of the live, night-club internet radio show Terror Radio (with Terry Messal) which toured through-out southern California.
