Stay a while and lets talk peace, freedom, politics, relationships, diversity, and the support and respect of all mankind
.."A great war leaves the country with three armies - an army of cripples, an army of mourners, and an army of thieves"
..First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.
Pastor Martin Niemöller..

Betty Bigombe has been involved in peace negotiations in Uganda to end the Lord’s Resistance Army’s (LRA) insurgency since the early 1990s. In 1994 Bigombe was named "Uganda’s Woman of the Year" for her efforts to end the violence. She was appointed minister in Yoweri Museveni’s government and minister of state for pacification of North and Northeastern Uganda, and Office of the Prime Minister, resident in the North. She also was tasked with seeking a peaceful means to end the war in north and northeastern Uganda. Following the failure of a military solution, Bigombe initiated contact with rebel leader Joseph Kony. This initiative gave birth to what would become known as "Bigombe talks."

Peace is my cause and my virtue, freedom my title and theme. I am a hopeless romantic, poet, amateur photographer, writer, and medicore musician My longing for all those things I deserve but cannot have and all those things I have but cannot grasp enthralls me. I search for believers and non-believers who have learned the true meaning of playing a role without compromising oneself. Someone old enough to worry about it, yet young enough to laugh in one's face without insulting or degrading. I love without committing, and commit without making love. I'm a lover of the living, a day and nighttime dreamer, a songstress, a critic, an artist born neither sooner nor later, living in the "then" and the "will be", today existing on the sands of time.
Both books are available through your local bookstore and at Amazon.com, Borders.com, and Barnesandnoble.com.
