Providence, Rhode Island’s Tallahassee takes its name from a Muskogean Indian word often translated as “old town.” The band, fronted by a former NFL lineman, merges indie, country and folk influences to create delicately arranged songs of place and introspection. They blend traditional instruments such as banjo, dobro and fiddle with finger-picked guitars, Rhodes piano and upright bass.
Wolfe Moon is Tallahassee’s debut album. It was recorded over the course of four days of unseasonably autumnal weather in June of 2009 inside a former church turned bar room.
Hey Abe, it's your cousin. Pretty cool you're in a band, you guys have some nice songs. I ordered a digital copy of your cd but maybe you could bring a signed copy down if you ever head to Florida again.
Hey, friends! It's been ages since I've heard your stuff---but I still love Antebellum like I always did! So glad to see you have an album out, congratulations! -Kara
