This myspace site is here to tell you, the enquiring reader about a tour that shall be undertaken throughout the British Isles from September 26th to 28th 2007.

Four of Holland's most brilliant, darkly sparkly, heroic, shape-shifting and downright cussed bands will be performing in three of the UK's most populous cities with the sole intent of cheering some of you gloomy bastards up a bit.

And there's a reason why. The Dutch pop music hierarchy hates people that try to do things outside the state subsidized norm. Thats why this tour is called Tall Poppies. If you remember, they are the beautiful flowers that dare to poke their head above the mass of vegetation to get that little bit of sunlight (and doubtless to do a bit of narcissistic preening) and get the chop kidz... and we think thats a wee bit unjust. I mean, if you're any good...

No, all these bands realise that stewing in a vat of your own potential ain't the way forward. It's time to shake off moribund assumptions and half-assed navel gazing and seek pastures new.

So come along and cut some rug, throw a few shapes....

The bands in question are the majestic Hallo Venray, the psychotically glam Appie Kim, the brooding Vox Von Braun, and the dayglo Sugarettes. All own guitars and profess to make popular amplified electronic sounds of an engaging nature. Some have even cleaned their teeth...

Those wanting to come down and cut some rug will be presented with a free compilation CD of some of the aforesaid bands' recordings, and a nice illustrated booklet explaining everything. Can't say fairer than that, now can we?
