Vintage clothing, vintage film, food - can't get enough of the stuff, burlesque
Music
Country music - Iris Dement, Dolly Parton, vintage bump and grind, chicks with guitars - like Aimee Mann and Kristen Hersh, The Magnetic Fields, The Flaming Lips, The White Stripes, Billy Bragg
Movies
Favourites include Far from Heaven, All About my Mother, The Princess Bride, and The Thin Man. And classic noir - love it all. Gangster movies too. Current thang is Hammer films - especially Christopher Lee in Dracula.
Television
I miss Buffy, I really do. Love the West Wing too.
Books
My new favourite author is Patricia Wentworth - good old-fashioned locked-room detective fiction. Also In the skin of a lion - Michael Ondaatje, The volcano lover - Susan Sontag. Those are my high-brow choices. Mostly I love crime and detective fiction - the more old-fashioned, the better.
About me: Sassy, sophisticated siren of the burlesque arts seeks those in need of a jolly good laugh - with a whole lot more than just a nod and a wink - for mutually beneficial relationship.
I'm a graduate of Goodtime Mama Jojo's London Academy of Burlesque, and I've danced with, for, at or around Kate Moss' 34th birthday party, Immodesty Blaize, Afternoon Tease, Cabaret Salon at Volupte, Bethnal Green Working Mens Club, Bestival, Velvet and many others.
Here's a run-down of just some of my acts:
How Could Little Red Riding Hood?
Poor Little Red Riding Hood. She has to find her way through those spooky old woods all by herself, with just her quick wits and the contents of her basket to get her through. And when she finally gets there, what the hell has happened to Grandma? Luckily, our Little Red is a resourceful girl...
Now with added choreography Oomph! (TM) from Goodtime Mama JoJo.
Aye Aye, Captain!
What shall we do with the drunken sailor? Well, let’s put her on stage and see what happens. Tallulah leaves her fans ashore this time - hey, they wouldn't fit in the boat - but she has a few other tricks up her sleeve for your enjoyment.
Two Ton Feather
Tallulah has got the blues, the two-ton-feather kind of blues. And the only cure is to shimmy and shake those feathers... just for you. Have you got what it takes to make this Mockingbird fly? Watch and see.
I also have the very good fortune to make up one fifth of the fabulous burlesque troupe, The Teasemaids. If one burlesque artiste just isn't enough - and let's face it, some days it just isn't - then visit us at www.myspace.com/theteasemaids.

And this one from Get Me, I'm a Burlesque Legend...
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone with a similar interest in burlesque, or in costumes and vintage clothing. And anyone looking for performers.

THE CROSS KINGS, 126 YORK WAY, KINGS CROSS, LONDON N1 0AX
THE KATHARINE BLAKE BAND (Members of Mediaeval Baebes, Miranda Sex Garden, Urban Voodoo Machine, and much else besides. This'll be their last show for quite a while... ) TWIN AND TONIC (Remember the wrong side of the 1930s, a time when music was still dangerous? If you do, you probably weren't there. Shame. They're twins, and they conjure up visions of The Andrews Sisters on speed. Go figure.) BATES MOTEL (Acoustic guitar noise, cello and musical saw. And whatever arises.) LUMIERE BROTHERS (Burnt-out lullabies and millennial blues. Sounds like your house at night, before you turn on the lights, & the transistor radio you lost when you were 9). DJS SHE-RA & BEN HELL: Spinning the kind of stuff your mum wouldn't want you to listen to...
