Tal Morris, aka T.MO is a guitarist drawn from the pool of music diversity. From rock, blues, funk and r&b, with a dash of jazz, to experimental textures and loops, its all just a chance to explore deeper a connection through music.
"I love to practice, improvise and perform. During performance there is a great feeling in a group of people from as many as 10,000 to just a few who dig the music. I'm feeling it just like they are, Im just the one who happens to be onstage channeling the sounds. Its a shared experience that I thrive on."
Currently Tal is touring as lead guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revisited www.creedence-revisited.com This years highlights include touring Brazil, Argentina, Canada, The US, and Mexico where he performed before a 10,000+ sold out crowd in Mexico City at The Auditorio National.
From 2000 to 2004 Tal was the lead guitarist in Bill Champlin's legendary San Francisco psychedelic-soul band The Sons of Champlin, touring the west coast and with whom he recorded a live DVD "Secrets" and new recording titled "Hip Lil' Dreams".
Tal can also be found making special appearances touring with Huey Lewis & the News when regular guitarist Steph Burns is away (03, 04 summer tours). A special highlight was making a television appearance on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show on 6/24/03 with them.
A San Francisco native, at the age of 17 he cut his teeth by regularly sitting in on celebrated blues harmonica man Mark Naftalin's Blue Monday Party - a weekly live blues show that featured such greats as John Lee Hooker, Charlie Musselwhite, Lowell Fulson, & Percy Mayfield, among countless others.
Along the way, Tal has acquired performance experience at the side of many great musicians such as hall of famers Michael Carabello, Michael Shreive, Neal Schon, Ronnie Montrose (94 tour), Narada Michael Walden, Steve Smith, and Stu Hamm to name a few.
Tal also enjoys time in the Jam Band scene with heavyweight drummer Alan Hertz in his project Alan Hertz and Friends. Jam highlights include stage time with Trey Anistasio, Les Claypool, Ike Willis, Ray White, and many others.
Tal currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area where he enjoys time with his family, doing sessions for producers and studios in the area and having local appearances under his own name.
Tal is currently endorsed by Music Man, Ernie Ball, Evidence Audio, Dunlop, and Carr Amps
No word on tix deal yet. It may be awhile as the show is sold out for some time. I will let you know the deal when I find out. Is there a general day or evening that is good for you guys?
