Born in Fort Smith Arkansas and raised in Bakersfield, California this fiery red head with a traditional country sound is taking Nashville by storm. Tamaray knew from a very young age that she was born to sing and write country music. It all began in 6th grade when Tamaray decided to join the school choir and after that was completely hooked and decided to pursue her passion. Right away her voice was something that people noticed. She was a California girl with a country twang. By the time Tamaray entered high school she was writing songs and finding her sound. Before she knew it she was flying out to Nashville for songwriting workshops every chance she could get and quickly began working on her craft. Back in California Tamaray began performing in shows with another country singer and knew that she would have to come to Nashville to fully make her dreams a reality. With a lot of determination and an attitude ready to make it happen Tamaray decided to make the move. Since her move to Nashville in March 2010, she has been performing with numerous bands and writing for several artists. She is now working with Nashville on the Brazos Productions, LLC. As a team the label and Tamaray are about promoting music that is positive and uplifting. "I have never wanted something more in my entire life. I love to sing. I love to write. It's who I am, it's what I do." Tamaray has already built a large following in Music City with people comparing her voice to the likes of Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton. Coming from Bakersfield it is only natural that Tamaray has been influenced by Merle Haggard and Buck Owens. "She brings a fresh sound to country music. It's old school with a flare. It's something people need to hear, and they will," states Tamaray's management. So keep your eye out for this California girl with a twang as Tamaray continues to make her way in country music.
