Chillin' mackin' waitin' listenin' lookin' at stuff n' things. Lot's o' different stuff n' things. Oh, and Hailing Xenu, the dark lord of things n' stuff.
Music
I like all sorts of stuff. But then, who really truly listens to just one type of music? The first band I ever loved was The J. Geils Band. In elementary school I was listining to stuff like, "First I Look At The Purse" and "Hard Driving Man." I was never much like most other kids. I still enjoy them but now I also like, the Indigo Girls, Van Halen, Queen, Beatles, some Dixie Chicks, the list goes on. I'll let you know when things change. You will be the first to know.
Movies
I like watching movies. I like eating buckets of popcorn with that greezy stuff that they call butter but isn't really butter on it. It makes me feel alive to polish off on of those suckers. Kinda like I've dodged a bullet. Which I probably have considering what I've just ingested.
Television
I loves me the TV. I like Heroes, Lost, Family Guy, Survivor, Futurama, Project Runway (Make it work), Simpsons, anything on Discovery. All kinds of crappy stuff.
Books
I **heart** books. I just don't read as much as I used to. Last time I had a book in my hand it was my wedding scrapbook. I was sitting on the couch one evening watching TV. Probably one of those medical mystery thingies, and one of our cats (we gots 4) comes running into the room with his eye on the wall. I look over my shoulder and there is this 3 inch long bug sticking to the wall behind me. I live here in NYC where you can find gialnt rats, but generally not giant flying bugs. I freak! I got up and grabbed the above mentioned book because it's the biggest one I've got, I put it in a bag and take a swing at the bug. I put the book in a bag because the book is white, and the bug looks pretty juicy to me. Now my swing was SO bad that it didn't even come in contact with the wall never mind the bug. But the bug know's I've got it's number so it crawls higher up the wall right underneath a lovely picture we have tacked up there. It's a collage type picture of me and my beloved and our friends, but I digress. I see my chance to get the bug without having to actually feel the crunch of it's exoskeleton beneath the book full of my wedding memories, and I beat the hell out of the picture as it hung on the wall. After smacking around the pic like I was trying to set General Zod free, I stepped back and waited. No bug fell out. I waited some more and nothing happened. I sat on the couch opposite the wall. I moved the other couch about 2 feet away from the wall so the darn bug wouldn't actually fall ON the couch and waited some more. Now, it's been 2 months and I still haven't seen the bug, but I haven't moved the picture either. I'm hoping the book took care of it. That, my friends, is my most recent book story.

About me: Hello! I am Jessica. I'm 36, live in a little part of New York City called Staten Island. The Island of Misfit Toys, as my beloved likes to say. We pay all the taxes to be a part of NYC, but get none of the credit. We might as well be New Jersey!
I've lived here since 1999 and met my husband in April 2001. Our first date was the day before I turned 30. A better 30th birthday present I couldn't ask for.
I work in Manhattan at a construction company in the accounting department. Not a bad gig, I've got to say. The commute is long, but I get to cross New York Harbor in a big boat every day. Can't complain about that. Much.
Drop me a line! I'd love to hear from friends, old and new.
Do you ever come home for a visit? I am not sure if I told you that I moved home (well to MA). We need to get together. It has been way too long !! Maybe what 25 years LOL
