11/24/09--Oh, my.. so long since i have written a new blog. i got a little carried away with my constant twittering (tamarkaprelian)-- if you are not already following me XOXO. let's see, what's new? Just opened up for OneRepublic. Did two shows with those boys. First one, their CD release party in Los Angeles and the second one, the tree lighting ceremony in Glendales Americana mall! Finishing up a duet with Tyson Ritter from the All American Rejects-- Ryan Tedder is producing. Album should be out early next year. What else.. i'm doing a little YouTube show called MONDAY NIGHT MUSIC CLUB, where i post videos every monday night of a new performance piece i did that day and/or a new song i've written. 6/26/09--Today was a very, very sad day for music.
Whether you are familiar with his work or not, the impact Michael Jackson had on pop culture made him one of the most iconic artists of all time.
As a fellow artist, you can see what his music did—it transcended generations; It created a movement. It’s something people only dream of doing.
He was a musical genius, and by far, one of the greatest performers of all time. There will never be anyone like him—ever.

6/11/09-- Good morning! 8:30 am. Kind of waking up late today. Thank you for the continued support of the single. The positive reactions have created an incredible platform for the release of my record this fall. The next few weeks, i will be slaving away at putting my live set together. Stayed up till 3:30 a.m. (hence waking up later than usual) working . Stripping the show down to a very acoustic set: Me at the piano, Chris Galletta at the guitar, and a great percussion player (interviewed someone a few days ago). Going into the studio today to work with my producer Xandy Barry on a new song. Wrote it with Brent Kutzle from OneRepublic. It's very simple, soulful, and pop. Can't wait for everyone to hear it. Keep sending me messages! I really do love hearing from you guys and i always write back.

3/31/09-- This is why i write music... Billy and Elton live at the Pond last night!!!!!! It really doesnt get much better than this. The seats were amazing, the company was fabulous (always makes a difference when you go with someone who is fun) & I was beside myself when they started playing Uptown Girl.. Billy NEVER plays this live!! It was such a treat.

2/15/09-- Happy belated VDay to all you lovers. I just got home from Boston early yesterday morning (still re-covering). A close friend of mine is a part of the Hasty Pudding at Harvard and he was sweet enough to invite me to come experience opening night of their show-- it was beyond fabulous. I also got to meet the Pudding's 'Man of the Year"-- the insanely handsome James Franco.
Alright, back to reading. With that said.. going to leave you with a quote :)-- "Let us be very humble. 05/28/08 - Summer's Around the Corner! Okay, so I'm back from climbing Mt. Everest, and wow...if you haven't been I strongly suggest going! Alright, u can call my bluff... I'm sorry it has been so long since I have written - I didn't really go to Everest!! I have just been so busy, I haven't been able to sit down and write something meaningful. This has honestly been the most busy period of my career. Career? geez, that sounds too professional - I never got into performing thinking I'd call what I do a "career"! It's too much fun to call it that, right?! Anyhoo, I want to give you an update on what I have been doing. Since the New Day video premier, I have been receiving an amazing amount of feedback from friends, critics, and even a few industry execs! It is wonderful to put something out there and see what everyone thinks. The response has been simply wonderful. It's like I always say: "bring on the criticism!" Whether it's positive or negative, it only helps me to propel myself to that next level! So on top of holding down my long hours at the Cheesecake Factory and furiously practicing the music in my catalogue at home, I have also been hard at work writing and writing and writing. I am happy with the level of creativity lately as I have been working out new ideas and styles. I hope I will be able to put out a few more songs for you in the coming year. Now that I've spilled the beans about me, what have YOU been up to?! Summer is around the corner, and the weather is warming up, so let me know if you have any cool summer plans! I will most likely be taking a few breaks here and there to get to the beach and relax (one of my favorite things to do!). In the meantime while the weather continues to warm up, check out the cool Windows Live Feature a fan sent me the other day! Love you guys!

04/04/08 - AOL shows love on Fun Friday!!! Happy Fun Friday everyone!! In honor of this weekly holiday, I have put up a hokey countdown to celebrate the Myspace premier of my "New Day" music video. Check it out on the left, but don't stare for too long at the sun - I heard it's bad for your eyes! So the video premier is going down on Monday at 10:00am PST, so try and check it out when you are at school, work or just vegging out at home. So completely unrelated, I got a shout-out from AOL Music today on their pop music page! AMAZING!!! I mean, AOL only has like 20 million readers per month! I am beside myself because it's all so surreal!!! It is unbelievably cool to see my photo in amazing company with some incredible artists! I must thank my new best friends at Ourstage.com for their continued interest in me and my music and for connecting me with AOL in the first place! 03/25/08 - Knitting Factory Tonight w/ Ben Jelen! (and a teaser to my kick-ass movie premier) As you can probably tell since I've written to you three days in a row, there is soooo much going on lately!!! OK, so....last year I played the risque role of "Kim" in a John Stewart Muller film called, "Lie to Me." I never thought it would be finished, but....check out the world premier of the trailer below!!! I learned recently that the film will be premiering in its entirety at the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 26th, and I can't wait! For more info on the movie, check out the trailer then go to lietomemovie.com. I hope you are as excited to see the final cut as I am :).
As for tonight's show at the Knitting Factory-LA, I am so excited to play for a hometown crowd tonight. For all those I haven't met yet, come down and say hello - I'll be going on around 9-9:15 and I would love to meet you in person afterwards. If I recall from the last time I was there to see a show, the venue is tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, so keep your eyes open. That shouldn't be a hard thing to do on Hollywood Boulevard! It will be a fun change of pace to be up on stage there as opposed to in the crowd....well technically, I'll still get to be in the crowd tonight to watch Ben Jelen play immediately after me because he's so rad! 03/25/08 - Ourstage.com Contest Results: Hey guys! I checked my Ourstage.com page because I got a notification email today that I had made the "Pop Music Semifinals" for the month of March out of 1,017 profiles. I didn't even realize there was a competition involved, I just thought the number "16" next to my name was because of playcounts or something...shows what I know! But now that I know it's a competition, I'm shooting for that number 1 spot!! With your help I might be able to do it. 03/18/08 - My Sony Ericsson Commercial
This Sony Ericsson Commercial was shot a few months ago and I believe it will only be aired in Europe, but I wanted to make it available to the entire world! To be honest, I didn't expect it to air LOL! I have an exciting 2-second cameo placed strategically between the transvestite street-walker and the recently-fired, NYC stock broker who's stuck in the rain. It was a fairly easy shoot: lay on the bed, try to look pretty with my faux-boyfriend, and sing along. THAT'S A WRAP! Enjoy everyone. Oh, btw, have I got a surprise for you.... 03/09/08 - Greetings From Sunny L.A.! Todays I was highlighted by The Kings of A&R as "fresh new artist" this week! I am so appreciative to the staff and writers at KOAR for getting the word out about my music and for giving me the quite unexpected encouragement. I am beaming today! I am also very excited about my upcoming schedule of events. In addition to my show at The Mint on the 19th of March, I am hard at work rehearsing and preparing for Jonathan Ressler's Extraordinary Women Exhibit on March 20th in Beverly Hills. 03/03/08 - I Got Highlighted by OneRepublic!!! Recently, I covered One Republic's hit-song "Apologize," as part of their One Republic cover contest. When I posted the video on YouTube, I didn't expect to receive the wonderful response that I did! Your comments have been unbelievable and your support of my work even more so. I ended up winning the contest, and have been riding sky high ever since. Check out the sweet message from OneRepublic below that they sent while on tour in Minnesota, followed by my winning video! 02/29/08 - My New Blog! Hello Everyone! Welcome to my blog - I finally have a way to reach out and touch you personally beyond just my music & videos! I encourage you all to take a look around and tell me what you think. For starters, the last few weeks have been very exciting. Recently, my YouTube page caught the eye of the Remy Radio Show on WBNQ, a Top-40 radio station in Bloomington, IL (outside Chicago). Yesterday, I was interviewed live on the air as "YouTuber of the Week," by Remy himself, and my YouTube page will be highlighted on WBNQ.com for 7 glorious days! A big thanks goes out to Remy, WBNQ, and all of my fans in Bloomington and the Greater Chicago area! I will post a broadcast of the show for you as soon as I can get my hands on one!
