Houve uma altura em que a música para dançar ficou só batida e baixo, período dourado algures entre 1985-87. A essência do que nos faz mexer. Depois ganhou outra vez camadas. É a partir desse pedaço de tempo e de música que se esticam os braços para a frente e para trás para agarrar tudo o que - sabemos agora - é expressão original, crua e o mais genuína que o nosso entendimento permite perceber, de música com ritmo. De Chicago para Lisboa e de volta por todas as paragens boas, e todos os tempos são bons tempos para mexer o rabo com tambores da vida e bater a cabeça com barulho real que diga a verdade. Zonk não é atitude nenhuma, é 3-2-1-Zero enquanto a música que interessa faz tudo e diz tudo. O doce doce som. Se não for isso não é nada. Se for para dançar é para dançar. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Zonk is a club night and it goes like this: There was a time when dance music was reduced to beat and bass, a golden age around 1985-87. The essence of what makes us move. Then it grew layers again. It's from that period of time and music that we hold our arms out past and future to grab everything that to our belief is an original, raw expression of music with rhythm. From Chicago to Lisbon and back again, stopping at all the good stops, all times are good to shake ass with drums of life and knock heads with real noise that tells the truth. Zonk is no attitude, it's 3-2-1-Zero while music that matters does all and says all.
