A humanitarian at heart, I support various charities. I recently became interested in Fundacion Pies Descalzos after learning more about the conditions in Colombia, where my fiance was born.
I also volunteer for Music is Art because I feel it is important that music is preserved for generations to come.
I am an active member of the International Dyslexia Association, which helps empower us to combat the ignorance that surrounds this disability. I am also a member of Wrights Law - an online library of special education resources. If you have a child with a learning disability, please visit their websites for a host of helpful information.

I have no clue. I started getting real bad migraines this summer where it affected my vision, like an aura but it lasted for a while and the migraines were bad. Then around August I lost my vision almost completely in my left eye for about 2 hours and had vision problems along with ONE BAD migraine for like a week or so. The migraines keep coming and I get maybe one day with out a migraine every few weeks. My vision isnt as bad now. Instead of losing it I cant focus my eyes that well. They migraines are in the back right side of my head, affecting my left eye. I went to the doc and now have a small pharmacy on my night stand. Im not responding to any medication. Thursday I got an extremely sharp pain in my head and the doc got me in asap. She saw my eyes and head, heard my story (new doc than the one I was going to) and scheduled an urgent MRI (within 24 hrs). Went to the MRI. I go to the neurologist wednesday to get my results. They understood how bad the pain was and gave me lortabs which do not mask the pain what so ever. I woke up today and had the migraine from hell. I couldnt function or speak right and almost threw up. I hardly ever drive cos moms scared I will lose my vision again plus I am always on medication to try to disolve any pain. Theyve told me it could be onset MS, something could be wrong with my optical nerve, cancer, stress. It could be anything but I am going through the ringer to find out.
