Tammi Kidd was born and raised in rural Kentucky on her family's horse and cattle farm. Inspired and encouraged by other family musicians, she began singing at regional jamborees and festivals at an early age. At age six, she started making routine trips to Nashville to perform on The Ralph Emery Show. After attending The University of Kentucky, she followed her heart back to Nashville, and started singing publisher demos and honing her writing skills.
In 2001, she signed an exclusive publishing deal, and has been writing professionally ever since.
Tammi's first major album cut was by bluegrass artist Andrea Zonn. Her first single was "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way", performed by Leann Rimes. As of late, her compositions have been covered by a wide range of artists including Rascal Flatts, Josh Gracin, and Chris Cagle.
"Wash Away" features Don Poythress in a moving worship experience from the heart of one of Nashville's top worship leaders. Widely acclaimed as a songwriter, Don has found a home for many of his songs on recordings by The Martins, Jaci Velasquez, Tim McGraw, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Kellie Pickler and more.
