In this first edition, the publisher has chosen to produce the illustrations in a grey-scaled version. While I really preferred the lush color of the originals, the necessity of *going grey* was soon impressed upon me, and I think, after seeing the illustrations grey-toned, they don't lose much of their impact. Here is how they will appear in the first edition.....

About me:
The Limited Edition Poster..... ABOUT THE BOOK.....
In December of 1998, Tam O'Hare was born. His first incarnation was in the form of a bedtime story I told to my seven-year-old twin daughters. (back then, at the beginning, he wasn't even a hare... he was actually a mouse named William!)
Now, after nine years, and several incarnations, my book, The Rollicking Adventures of Tam O'Hare has finally garnered a major publishing contract with My New York Publisher, an imprint of Thomas James Publishing.
It has been a long road, but well worth the time and effort.
The publishing of The Rollicking Adventures of Tam O'Hare is the first in a series of Tam O'Hare books that will follow the exploits of the aristocratic Irish hare, the stories revolving around the lore and mysticisms of Celtic mythology.
My hope is that you will enjoy my book and my illustrations as much as I enjoyed creating them. The Rollicking Adventures of Tam O'Hare should be on the bookstore shelves summer of 2007. In the meantime, read the excerpts and absorb the pictures I have posted here at this site.
Thank you for all your encouragement and support. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!

Tam O'Hare, Irish Lord and swashbuckling adventurer, along with his young squire, Horatio MacNutt, set out to find a young girl who's been stolen by the faeries - the "Good People" of Irish and Scottish lore.
The young girl is the granddaughter of Tam's Great Uncle, Argyll Whitebeard, cheiftain of the clan MacDervish in the highlands of Scotland.
Through the course of their quest, Tam and Horatio encounter several figures from history - mostly due to Tam's reputation as an aristocratic adventurer - Mary Queen of Scots and her husband James Hepburn, Earl of Bothwell; Queen Elizabeth, John Knox and several minor characters.
Tam O'Hare's estate, HareHenge Castle, County Meath, Ireland...

There are pirates, sea battles, royalty, romance, spirituality and high adventure throughout the entire story. While spining a fanciful, fun tale, the book speaks of honor, sacrifice, history and spirituality, all on a level that has been highly appealing to grade school children, as well as high schoolers and adults.
The characters, as mentioned above, are anthropomorphized. The Irish and Scots are rabbits, squirrels, badgers, beavers and bears, while the English are hawks, foxes, wolves and ferrits. The clothing in the illustrations, as well as the geographic locations, ships, castles and towns are all true to their history, lending great appeal to the illustrations.
Tam fighting at the Battle of Solway Moss, 1542...
The Rollicking Adventures of Tam O'Hare has great value on several fronts - historical, educational, spiritual (without being pretentious or "religious") - and it expresses my belief that Honor is the only true gift you can give yourself. I have also planned several other Tam O’Hare stories, should the first one garner substantive results and readership.
Tam's ship, the Moraudh..." Gaelic for Mermaid..."
The hole in the stone - the mysterious man-an-tol in the woods on the shore of Loch Tay...
One such man-an-tol as it appears today, in Cornwall...
James Hepburn, Earl of Bothwell; Lord High Admiral of Scotland; husband to Mary Queen of Scots...
Tam defeats Seamus Duggery and wins the Moraudh...
Tam and Bryndolyn...
"Hoist the Cross of St. Andrew!"...
The Moraudh confronts the Elizabeth Jonas...
Tam before Mary Queen of Scots...
The Old Druid badger of Loch Tay...
Tam and MacNutt cross the stream to Glenburrow, Scotland...
The ever demure Abigail MacDervish...
"...take my sword, and with it my heart, fidelity, love and loyalty... forever..."...
Queen Elizabeth aboard her warship, the Elizabeth Jonas...
The cold-hearted Protestant reformer, John Knox...
