Tampa Bay Anime (TBA) is an social group for adults that meets on a regular basis to watch and discuss anime -- Japanese animation. There are lots of different kinds of anime out there, so we try to show a generous cross-section of styles at each meeting. We've shown giant robots, romantic comedy, serious drama, supernatural thriller, high-intensity fighting, and everything in-between. If the club likes a particular anime a lot, we'll watch that show on a more regular basis. TBA encourages anime fans to support the domestic anime industry, so we only show anime that has not been licensed in the US, unless somebody brings a legitimate DVD of the series to a club meeting. Also, because TBA is a club for adults, we occasionally show anime that would be rated R in American movie theaters, although not very frequently. These shows may include nudity, explicit violence, adult language, and sexual content. Most shows will not be this graphic - generally only one show per meeting, and possibly none. No hentai or other pornography is shown.
