About me: The Florida Mavericks Country Western Dance Club (formerly known as the Tampa Bay Wranglers) is all about people who like to socialize around country western music and dancing without discrimination or bias.
Our primary purpose is "to promote country western dancing activities and music to all persons without regard to age, gender or gender identity, religion, national or cultural origin, sexual orientation or disability."
WHY THE NAME CHANGE??
Because we feel we belong to entire state of Florida. We are definately proud of our Tampa Bay roots, but with members from Lakeland, Winterhaven and Orlando and with all our frequent travels all across the great state of Florida as well as the nation we decided to expand our perimeters.

Did you know that the 1940's classic film, "Reefer Madness" was based on a murder story from right here in Ybor City? Other known celebrity residents, a Bay area "God Father" was buried there. A long standing heritage of new immigrants starting over in America and a peaceful place to rest our ancestral souls. This is just one of the many interesting things you will learn as narrator Sammy Campisi takes us on a tour of The Historical Italian Club Cemetery in Ybor City. Another MC FILM produced documentary.

The Party Kicks off Friday Night at Steam Fridays with International VJ David Knapp. There is an Over the top party planned that night at Chelsea’s Lounge and all the other clubs too. Saturday is what Ybor is Famous for WILD SATURDAYS!!! Sunday, start your day off at Streetcar Charlie’s for their “Praise the Lord & Pass the Biscuits, Gospel Brunch“!!! (The new outside cafe seating area is now open at Streetcar Charlie’s). Starting at 3pm - 9PM is the GaYBOR Labor Day Cabana Pool Party! Pool side at the Howard Johnson Riverside Plaze Hotel. Over looking the Hillsborough River & University of Tampa Parks. There will be a Fashion Show by OMG Magazine, Special host and Drag performances by our own Miss Joey Brooks and Arica Love, Dancers from Steam & G.BAR, a Kill the Keg party, DJ CK spinning the discs all night and so much more. 18 & up. 3 University have been invited!!! All doors open early in GaYBOR this night. There will be a Leather T-Dance at The Ybor Eagle & 80? T-Dance at G.BAR. Other special events are planned at L’ Olivier’s, Streetcar Charlie’s, Spur’s Country & all of Ybor!!!
