My name is Laurita and I'm addicted to photography - oh wait, this isn't photographers anonymous?? Ok, well let me start over... Ummm... Yeah - my name is Laurita. And I am addicted to photography. Yes this is something you should know about me.

I'm available for portraits and other work in the Redding and Sacramento area. Please don't hesitate to contact me for jobs requiring travel. I love working with people of all shapes and sizes. I love families and pregnant women, couples and kids. If you've got it and want to flaunt it I'll shoot it :)

I've been interested in photography since I was old enough to hold up a camera. The camera drove me to be on the yearbook staff in high school, it was quite an experience, as you other year-bookies may know. After high school I put down the camera to pursue a career in physical therapy, which had been my career dream for 7 years. Unfortunately I lost my passion for it a few years into college. I stuck with it till I couldn't stand myself anymore.

So I changed my focus a little, started living for me instead of living for everyone else. I bought D50 in September 2006, and I haven't been happier. As soon as I un-boxed my Nikon I've regained my passion. My passion for photography, my passion for love, my passion for life. It all came back to me. In January 2007 I officially made the change to major in photography. Not sure yet where this will lead me, I'm actually thinking that I'm going to obtain a business degree and go from there.

I'm planning a move to San Diego in August this year (2008) so if you are in that area please don't hesitate to contact me and send your friends my way too. I want to get down there and be able to focus mainly on photography, so that means I'll need all the help I can get. Military discounts and EMS personnell discounts will apply
