The lion dance is an important tradition in China. Usually the dance is part of festivities like Chinese New Year, the openings of restaurants, weddings and many other events. Often performed by kung fu schools, it brings with it good fortune, prosperity, and longevity.
Although the origin of the lion dance is not known, the tradition is nearly a thousand years old.
Tang Martial Arts performs the Traditional Lion Dance regularly and would be happy to perform for your special occasion. Please contact Sifu Leng Tang at (941) 795-6986 for more information.
