Hello, my name is Jodok, an African Grey parrot. I don't want to sound like I have a big ego, so I ask you, what about my vocal performance on the track "Loro"? Loro was composed by a very talented man, Egberto Gismonti, but do you think he ever imagined, in his wildest dreams, that some day a parrot would be singing his song. I...don't...think...so. Look, there is a lot of fine talent here, but you have to admit, nothing compares to my performance, right???

Hola, mi nombre es Jodok y soy un Loro gris africano. No quiero aparecer como engreído, asi que les pregunto a Uds: Qué tal mi actuacion vocal en la musica titulada “Loro“??? eeehhhh??? Loro fue compuesta por el muy talentoso Egberto Gismonti. Se habrá imaginado alguna vez que algun día un verdadero loro cantaria esta cancion?.... No lo creo
Es indiscutible el talento de todos quienes participan aqui, pero.... Admitámoslo, nada le llega a los talones a mi memorable actuacion, verdad????

And Gil Goldstein on accordion, I've heard that he worked with Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, Gil Evans, Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, The New York Voices, Milton Nascimento, Al Jarreau, and many others. Yes, that is quite impressive. More talented than me???

This guy playing the violin, Mark Feldman, I've been told that he has worked with Bill Frisell, John Zorn, Pharoah Sanders, Trilok Gurtu, Jack Bruce, Diana Ross, Carol King, Willie Nelson, George Jones and Johnny Cash, yes yes yes, quite impressive, but, more talented than me???

And then they have this bass player, Mike Richmond, who has worked with Stan Getz, Jack Dejohnette, Dizzie Gillespie, Chet Baker, Sonny Stitt, Toots Thielesmans and Roland Kirk, all giants, but I ask you???

And if that isn't enough, they have some special guests on their record, 4 guitarists; from Brasil Toninho Horta and Romero Lubambo, from France Bireli Lagrene, and Adam Rogers from New York. And they have this guy Charley Drayton playing snare drum on this crazy "Tangonator". I heard he toured and recorded with Keith Richard's X-pensive Winos, what's he doing on a tango record!!!???

Now me, as I explained, I'm only an African Grey Parrot. I never had any formal training, I don't have the credentials that these others have. Actually this was the first time that my voice was ever recorded. Sure, these guys are all great, but I ask you, what about "El Loro"???

One more thing, all this great talent, and they decided to put a photo of "me" on the cover, which of course I think was a very good idea. Hooolaaaa!!, El placer es mío!!, muchas gracias por su invitación. Ni bien entré a este espacio me sorprendí de lo bien que cantaba este/tos lorito/s, y me encantó la versión de "El loro" (Parrot), temón. Por otro lado, te comento que eso de las galletitas, era un vil soborno, vas a ver que va a aparecer alguien más inteligente que te produzca y te va a dar eso y mucho más ^.^ (Sino, en la cartera a veces llevo algunas de chocolate o dulces, si te cruzo te convido). Me preguntaba también si era que sólo tocaban en esos países que figuran en su space o por aquí también han pasado...Sería interesante verlos o más bien escucharlos en vivo =)...Bueno, un abrazo enorme, y ya los quieroo!! Querido Jodok, Algunas discográficas muestran impúdicamente su insensibilidad. Si después de todo lo que has dado en Loro no te entregan las galletas prometidas, tendremos que llamar a un boicot artístico internacional para que nadie firme con ellos. Sin embargo yo prefiero pensar en los antiguos griegos. Ellos sostenían que la belleza de Venus hubiera pasado completamente desapercibida sin un accesorio esencial: el cinturón de la Gracia. Los Tango Kings son maravillosos indudablemente, pero tu voz y tu talento es lo que pone el sello de auténtica realeza en este disco y lo convierte en una obra sin igual.

Ay Jodok!!. Los productores, los productores...como nadie te ha avisáo! Quizá tendrías que buscar el golpe de efecto interpretando adapatciones de temas mas populares, masivos. Intentar por ejemplo con "Balada para un loro" o algo así, seguramnete ahí el productor verá el costado comercial favorable que puede tener esa versión y ponga unos morlacos...Lo que te debe, conociendo a esta especie de pájaros, no creo que lo veas... BUENAVENTURA CACHO...!!! "CUCUZA"
