Tânia Teresa Tomé was born in Maputo,Mozambique. Since earlier ages, Tânia developed her passion for arts and culture, being involved and interacted with various cultural and artistic events and movements. Tânia sings, writes and declaims poetry. Tania also and earned a degree in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto, Portugal).

Showesia (created by TT) is a new concept which stands for Show of Poetry involving music and dancing. It includes a variety of different forms of art, such as traditional Mozambican dance and modern dance, theatre and music from different western and traditional instruments such as mbira and timbilas to bring the poem to life. The first Showesia was a tribute to one of the best Mozambican Poets - José Craveirinha. The event took place at Centro Cultural da UEM (on the 28th of May 2008), a magic show where Tania recited and sang Craveirinha poems for more than 700 people. With this project Tania intends to take this project further by organising other Showesias that incorporate poems by great poets from all over the globe. Tania Tomé was the producer and director of the Showesia Tributo a Craveirinha. This year, on the 3rd of June Tania released her first DVD: SHOWESIA TANIA TOME- A Tribute to Craveirinha.
