Hello all we are looking for Belly Dancers to perform on May 9th in Bakersfield,CA for our World Belly Dance Day Celelbration. World Belly Dance Day is a celebration educating people about Belly Dance. It is an art form that brings lots of people together, of different ages, nationalities, countries, and backgrounds. Belly dancing is family entertainment and those of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Along with world belly dance day, it is encouraged to raise money for a charity of your choice. This year we have chosen the Bakersfield S.P.C.A.
The Bakersfield SPCA, is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 1949, advocates the general welfare and humane treatment of animals through shelter, prevention of pet overpopulation and adoption.
All proceeds of that day will be donated to the SPCA. Workshops will be provided by local bellydancers in order to raise funds for the SPCA.
Workshop enthusiast can pay for workshops by either a monetary donation or by purchasing an item off the SPCA's wishlist. Workshop descriptions and teachers will be coming soon!
If you are unable to attend workshop please attend Hafla later that evening from 4pm-6pm inside East Hills Mall and again Hafla enthusiast can enter with a donation off wishlist or monetary donation.
