Started playing 8 yrs ago at 15. Within the first year put a 10- piece funk/horn cover band together playing at various places in Rochester NY. Maximum age was 18 yrs old. Played Chicago, Tower of power, Blues Brothers, and various funk/soul/motown songs. Then started working with my uncle's cover band which put me through high school and really built up my chops mentally and physically. Studied privately for 2 yrs with Ralph Ortiz, rochester's top electric bassist. After graduating high school, went in to United States Marine Corps,went to the Armed Forces School of Music graduated at instructor qualified levels, and went on to perfrom with the 2nd Marine Division Band. After the Marines, went back to rochester and played with multiples bands including a soul/reggae band, various jazz players from the Eastman area, A hard rock band, and an Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz group called the Mambo Kings {Mambokingdom.com}. A memorable moment in the mambo kings was a gig with the Baltimore Symphony, unreal. Currently living in Baton Rouge, LA playing with Streamline
