Hello and welcome to the official Tanka Bar Myspace page. The Tanka Bar is the first product of Native American Natural Foods. We are a small, Native-owned company based out of Kyle, South Dakota.

What is the Tanka Bar?

The Tanka Bar is a snack that is actually real food. When you go down the aisle of any gas station all you see is candy and energy bars loaded with sugar. Occasionally you'll find beef jerky chock full of salt and preservatives.

The Tanka Bar is made from buffalo, raised on prairie grass, and tart-sweet cranberries. We based the bar on the traditional native food of wasna. We tried to improve on the old recipe by adding nuts for more protein, and flax to evenly distribute the carbohydrates. But each time we added something, it felt like we were really losing something. We ended up coming full circle, back where we started from. The Tanka Bar is simple good food for when you are on the go.
