B-One
... B-One is exceptionally increasing the height of his popularity by extending his music across the globe. B-One aka Adebayo Atunrase was born on December 6 in Maryland, US but grew up in Nigeria (West Africa). At age one, his family (along with him) moved back to Nigeria after his parents lived in the United States for couple of years. After completing high school, he moved back to the United States where he furthered his education and got his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Growing up, he learned how to play couple of musical instruments (mostly drums) which he still plays at church.He has taken it upon himself to reach the ears of many by releasing freestyles and performing at live shows.In a very short sprint, B-One is making it to the top of the hip-hop heap, but only time will tell if he can achieve staying popular in a genre whose throne has never been held for very long by any artist. But for now, B-One is rising and becoming popular as a hip-hop star than many others.
Apart from rapping and being a co-runner of Tannaz Records, he is actively involved in his community and aspires to help under-privileged youths with interest in the performing arts.
TySu
... A very creative mind is what embodies TySu. Born in Nigeria, but bred in the Republic of Benin, Cotonou where he performed at various solos in french and english. He has been able to work with people from different backgrounds whom he tapped a little bit of song writing skills from. These people are part of what led him to make a lot of compositions even when he had no studio access. His persistent love for writing and composition grew to what he does now.
He got his Bachelor's degree in Biology at Montclair State University and is presently working on his Masters in Bio-Medical Engineering at NJIT. He is also a young working man in today's society like most. He definitely hopes to be in the working world whether or not it has to do with music. He is a fighter and overcomer.
Musically he hopes to inspire and also help people get "jiggy" with it, cause that truly defines his personality. As one of the co-runners of "Tannaz Records", he hopes he and his team can make a lasting impression in the music world.
Flashbackz (Chris Akinyemi)
... Flashbackz is an Indie/Hip-Hop duo created by Chris Akinyemi and Aaron ‘D-boy’ Monroe. Chris Akinyemi born to Nigerian parents is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist/rapper – he hails from the northern part of New Jersey. He moves his audience with unique vocals, visual storytelling and catchy melodies. His latest collaboration with the Nigerian sensational rapper (B-One) titled “Ki lo de” (‘what’s good’) has gained immense popularity in clubs/lounges in the NY Tri-State area, Nigeria and The UK.
Chris grew up under the musical influences of various genres and various artists such as: Usher, Maxwell, Pharrell, Lenny Kravitz, Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, New Edition, Jagged Edge and many more…which then inspired him to put his thoughts on paper.He has written over 600 songs, which are presently in production. Even at the tender age of six, he realized that music was indeed his passion, which led him to join the church choir. In addition, Chris is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Pennsylvania State University. He credits his love for music/musical instruments to a family member who bought him his first guitar at age ten, and since then, his love for music has had no bounds.
Influenced by Acoustic, Alternative, Hip Hop and Pop music, he combines them to create melodies that are distinct thus can never be forgotten. Indeed, the world is about to witness what has almost been forgotten in the history of musicianship… A writer who creates music that truly speaks to the soul!
