Tanner Taylor hails from Jefferson, Iowa - commonly known as the "birthplace of bebop". After studying with Jack Oatts and Garry Dial he relocated from Des Moines, Iowa to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2001. He has quickly become one of Minnesota's top jazz pianists. You can catch Tanner tickling the ivories with all of the Twin Cities' finest vocalists, as well as leading his own groups at local jazz hot-spots such as the Dakota, Artists' Quarter, The Times and Rossis. In addition to jazz, he performs with the world-beat/pop/latin band "Tickle Fight". He has also performed with jazz notables Clark Terry, Slide Hampton, Lew Tabackin, David "Fathead" Newman, Steve Turre, Wycliffe Gordon, Wes "Warm Daddy" Anderson, Dick Oatts, Eric Alexander, Bobby Shew, Steve Smith, Jaleel Shaw, Delfeayo Marsalis, Barbara Morrison and Marilyn Maye.

We are debuting a project called Sonic Transformations. Every month or so we will present a new audio-visual performance based on a different theme/story. We will be collaborating with artists and other creative musicians along the way so let us know if you have something you'd want to bring into this project.
The first in the series is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. It will be a musical adventure, and we hope that you can come participate :)

Hey! I can't wait to see you guys next week! You'll be excited to know that every time Lucias sees your picture now, he says "Tan Tan"! :) I love it! What day are you coming down?
Davina says to thank you for finding her T-shirts. - She says they were deliberately hiding under the stage, waiting to "attach themselves to our bodies"!
Hello Boy. Just wondering what you guys think of the idea for Christmas. Give me a call and let me know! And hey, are you going to be home at all before Christmas? Tell Becky hi for me! Love you both! Jess
Tanner! I had a dream last night in which I was talking to you. And that's all it was. Woah.
How have you been, holmes? I meant to call you over the summer, but just got too busy. We should probably chill sometime before you go to PV for the holidays. Send me a message, keyman.
Hi Tanner! Thanks for the Add, funny, but I was bored in front of the computer yesterday and googled my sons name to see if anyone else had his name.. You popped up! I have a 8 year old Tanner Taylor as well! Hopefully he will be as inspiring and gifted as you! LOVE the music and added it as my profile music!
