Heroes
My wife and my children. J.R.R. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis. They are masters of fantasy.
About me: I am a writer from Colordado where the Rocky Mountains are high, the sky is always blue, the water is fresh and the air is crisp and clean.I like to savor my coffee in the morning before I write, and sip Mountain Dew in the evening in front of my laptop. My creativity flows from my three children. Their carefree youth and enthusiasm keeps me dreaming and going after what I want in life. I am a writer of fantasy. My creative nature stems from when I was a child. In my youth, I watched Star Wars: A New Hope 192 times, played Dungeon's and Dragon's late into the night, and consumed J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S Lewis's novels.
If you are interested in fantasy novles like The Lord of The Rings, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Eragon, Harry Potter and The Golden Compass then check out my fantasy series called MADDOX FINNEGAN AND THE RELICS OF MERLIN.
BOOK ONE: THE SWORD OF ELEMENTS is a 80,000 word novel that chronicle the adventures of Merlin’s grandson, and is the first book of an eight book series. Commercially appealing to both an era of ‘new’ YA and middle-grade fantasy readers and sci-fi/adventure fans, MADDOX FINNEGAN AND THE RELICS OF MERLIN is one of the few books that expand on the widely known legend of Merlin.
SYNOPSIS:Meet Maddox Finnegan. He is Merlin’s grandson—he just does not know it yet.
Even though Maddox Finnegan has a photographic memory, can levitate objects with his thoughts, and has visions about strange objects, he doesn’t consider himself special. In fact, his life has been nothing but special. Stolen at birth, abandoned, adopted, then cast away, Maddox lives a life of solitary confinement in the corner of the cargo hold of the Starship Ruby Darton. Maddox has wanted nothing more than to escape the ship to lead a life of adventure and find his identity.
But all that is about to come true when, on the morning of his thirteenth birthday, Maddox finds a teleportation watch and transports himself, his four new friends, and his android IQ32 to the planet of his destiny. On the planet, he meets up with a White Witch who explains he is Merlin’s lost grandson, unleashes his magical powers and sends him on a quest of the highest caliber. Accepting the quest, Maddox sets off to find seven relics of Merlin, hidden throughout the universe. Standing in his way is a powerful Warlock that is out to kill him. Maddox must find The Sword of Elements, rescue his captured friends and defeat the evil Warlock. In this time of struggle, Maddox uncovers his deepest power—the ability to stop time and visit the past, present and future. Will this newfound gift propel him towards his destiny or destroy all of those around him?

Thank you for adding Marshall Mouse and his author Camille Blue Amy as your friend. I'm helping Camille (who is 72) manage her MySpace profile as she's a new children's author and we're looking to learn and network with other children's authors, illustrators, publishers and people who love children's books or reading to the children in their lives. We also promote and advocate literacy and write book reviews for other authors. We invite you to subscribe to our blog.
If you have time, take a look at Marshall and His Green High-tops (available at http://www.marshallmouse.com and on Amazon.com) and let us know what you think. The book is suitable for children ages 2-6.
We wish you much continued success in your writing career!
T.A. — I can’t tell you how delighted I am to have you join in, rather than be left behind. — W. Maltese, the chronicler of FLICKER: TEEN-WARRIOR SAGA.
Thanks for accepting my request. It's always nice to meet another writer. It's a shame you don't live in the UK, or I would shamelessly abuse your automotive knowledge. My darling Bertha the Vauxhall Astra was... euthanised... a couple weeks back and I'm back in the realm of "I'm a girl and my last car was blue" and "a bajillion pounds for this old banger? I suppose you're right, the rust *does* add to it's charm". Oh, how I conform to stereotype :)
Thanks for being my friend, and best of luck with your writing. I hope you’ll check out my new tween novel, GIVING UP THE GHOST, set on a haunted plantation near New Orleans two years after Hurricane Katrina.
It’s my dearest wish that my novel’s themes of fear, grief, and forgiveness, leavened with humor and gripped by a ghostly mystery, will bring comfort and healing to young teens living with uncertainty in unsettling times.
KIRKUS says (9/15/07) it has “teen appeal in spades” and is “a good choice for reluctant readers”!
