The Tantalum girls have just finished recording and mixing their latest tracks. Of these 8 tracks, the first "Runaway" has hit the myspace, so have a listen, and please let them know what you think! More to come in late 2009! Album to be released in late 2009, which will be able to be purchased online! Not long now!
Founded in 2002 by Kristel Blackman, Tantalum is a group of five dedicated women musicians from Melbourne, Australia, who share a passion for original rock music. Easy to watch, and very satisfying to listen to, their compositions have a very hard edge, and are full of energy; their lyrics ring true with stories of life and love, powered along by deep, gutsy, solid rhythms.
Tantalum is sisters Kristel and Melissa Blackman (guitars), Cassie McCawley (bass), Elysia Agius on lead vocals, with Cassie McCawley on backing vocals and a NEW drummer Renee Morgan!
Kristel was nominated by My Les Paul forum member Roman Rist to become a My Les Paul Girl - a feature on unique female musicians who prefer to play Les Paul guitars!
You can check our her picture, profile and interview at www.mylespaul.com
Tantalum are appreciative for all feedback given and hope to see you at upcoming shows. These are real girls, and they are here to stay! So get to a show if you can, to witness their passion and drive to rock out in person! Thank you for supporting TANTALUM!!!

Sounds Great. Vocals are very reminiscent of a Chicago band called Rock-it Girl. Gina Crosley was the singer. She later played with Veruca Salt for a while after Nina Gordon left. Keep up the good wotk!
