I began performing really in New York at this spot called Nell's night club, Monday night. There I did cover tunes such as Lady Marmalade, Dr FeelGood,
Let's stay together, and more. Sara Dash (Labelle) was my vocal coach for six months. I became a bit discouraged about the dealings in the industry so I begin to press up my own records in 1994. My first single Distant Groove did ok on the underground circuit but my second single Deep In
You got the majority of the attention, I had peoples working at Umm New York and they heard Deep in You being remixed and flew it to Italy. I signed with Umm in 1995 and relocated to Italy in 1996. Deep in you went to ..4 and the follow up Lovely Day entered the Italian billboard at ..11. Umm had unfortunately over extended itself and had to close shop. I had enjoyed the success of 3 singles and a triple pack album with them. I went on to Animus records to record LoveDance, People and I Made It Over. I recorded Sweet Sensation for Hole records and returned to America in 1999. Back in b-more I got some extra work on The Wire HBO and begin doing promo shows with Direct Drive record Pool. I recorded a spoken word project entitled My Body and hooked with Lane Mccray from La bouche and have been touring with him for about a year and one of my single Dance with Me is on the soundtrack to Sex in The City. . These days find my recording new material and remixing some of the Italian cuts, putting together a new kick ass band. Is the world ready you better get ready you can't stop the house!
