Heroes
Myself and I. Some of my influences as Super Heroes and characters are Durham Red, Sailor Moon, Padmé Amidala (Star Wars) and as an artist, Madonna.
My full real name is Irene Zilou, native Greek and passionate for life. People usually know me as (former TanyaTreed and) Zirconia, my alter ego. I had chosen this as it is my favorite gem and creature in the Sailor Moon anime series. Zirconia was a kind of a monster without a specified sex which absorbed energy. Since I have to describe myself here, I would say that I am hard-working, creative, independent, kind, smart, sarcastic, extravagant, friendly, loud, honest and much more, but I prefer that people realize on their own what I am. I am too childish sometimes and I tend to have some kind of a "Peter Pan complex". I am serious at my work and cooperations. Do not expect me to be serious in life.
I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs. Spoken languages: English, French, a little Italian and -of course- Greek. I'd like to learn German and Japanese in the future. Graphic Designer & Editor
"Sex substitutes art and music"
Graduated from Vakalo School of Art & Design (Bachelor and Master, University of Derby UK) in February 2003. Graphic Design is an inspiration, my main source of expression and my profession as well today. I tend to love deconstruction and edgy designs.
I cooperate with the Bloodcult Zine as a digital photographer and editor, one of the biggest magazines in Greece related to the dark alternative scene. The virus of being in love with music made me collect CD's, books and staff from my childhood. I contribute to events & festivals as a concert photographer, reviewing new releases and concerts.
About my more artistic tensions now, I attended vocals' lessons at the age of seven-ten at the 'Atheneum' and did some vocals for a few bands. I draw and sculpt, I studied and fell in love with photography at my Art University School. I live for dancing and always losing myself in 'Industrial for the masses'. It is not just a way to stimulate myself, but my lifestyle.
Modelling
"Believe in duality"
My second job has to do with modelling which includes alternative modelling, photo-modeling, go-go dancing, performing and any kind of catwalk. Nowadays I dare to say that I started this activity in such a restricted area as the underground alternative scene in Greece and developed it into a cutting edge fashion. Starting from 2000 ("The Silver Millenium") I am the first and only cyber model in my country at the moment. Cyber is a fetish and -in general- fetish is included in my modelling preferences as well, I love changing looks and faces on a daily basis.
I work as a part time go-go dancer if an interesting event comes up. I have danced at some clubs in Greece and Europe in general, for special events, at festivals like Helicon Sound System (Greece) and WGT, Neuwerk (Germany) and more, only for some very well known and talented bands, artists and Dj's. Just put me on a stand, stage, gogo-box, cage and I will do my best. I am full of energy on stage, coming out with new ideas every time. Apart from being a model and performer, my artistic tensions made me a good stylist & MUA which means that I do my make-up on my own. My personal wardrobe contains a variety of clothes and shoes. I have been printed in several publications, photographed by talented people and modeled for some well known labels, wardrobe stylists, designers and fashion shows. As a pro-model I rarely do TFP. I mostly work with paid assignments. For some special cases you can always ask. I might work "for free" and only if I get something important in return.
