TAPIR GETS ANGRY - "Absinth"
Nina hakika inakuwa kikubwabandi. It's swahili. It means "they are a great band". Because we don't know which language we could use to explain to the world how great are Tapir Gets Angry. The absurdity is that we have been said this since fifteen years ago and during this time the band from Udine has received only small satisfaction. Seen last time with a promo super on 2006, called Tapir Gets Angry, and forced to a stop because of the tragic death of the bass player Stefano, the band from Udine is now presenting Absinth, a work practically perfect. And even if the main influence are Alice in Chains and Layne Staley, the band from Udine is great in playing this toxical groove grunge, showing in each step tecnique, ideas, personality and capability for sure higher than the average, completed with a professional and high level recording. Six tracks, alternating italian and english, dazed atmosphere, morbid hard rock with a modern approach. If you were Seattle sound estimators, you can immerse yourself in this work. For all other people, once again a chance to discover (or discover again) one of the best italian bands in the last twenty years, don't know if there is a need to spend further words...

The new EP of Tapir Gets Angry, called “Absinth”, is ready after six months of songwriting. It includes six new songs and has been recorded during the last summer at One Voice Recording Studios in Chivasso (Turin). The EP has been recorded and mixed by Daniele Giordana (already phonic during live sets for Hatebreed, Madball, Agnostic Front and now on tour with Monster Magnet).
“Absinth” is dedicated to the memory of Stefano Malisan (R.I.P., 2006).

Original line-up (Paolo Della Negra guitar, Stefano Malisan bass, Joe Polisi drums and Charlie Tiziani vocals) formed in Udine in early ’90; after the presence at "Nightpieces 2" compilation, band signed for Dracma Records (Turin).
First album “Fake” (1995), an explosive mixture of metal, grunge, hard-rock and psychodelia, received enthusiastic reviews on press, but supporting tour has been cancelled causing of health troubles of frontman Charlie.
After a break of reflection, Tapir choosed Kelly Gray (Gran'ma Monkey, La Roxx) as new singer; on 1998 they recorded his second album "It", a sort of renewal of hostilities after three years of suffering, but they were not satisfied about results, so after promotional tour band decided to quit.
On 2004 Tapir Gets Angry re-formed calling Max Zilli (Prowlers) as new singer; after twelve months of songwriting and rehearsales, band recorded a new demo (“Tapir Gets Angry”) and toured Italy and U.K. performing live at London's "Barfly".
Unfortunately fate is cruel again, on september 2006 bass player Stefano Malisan died on tragic car crash; band is hardly upset, but members decided to continue as the best celebration of his memory; they immediately call a new bass player (Piero Boschi from Sana Lepsky) and a new guitarist (Matteo Floreani from Alchimilla); two months later, original guitarist Paolo Della Negra returned on TGA after temporary departure.
On 2008 Tapir is stronger than ever; band has just terminated to record his new demo “Absinth”, ready to be showed to record companies and press.

hey! we are trying to change something... our new singer erik can't be a full member of dreamscape because the stess to travel a lot is affecting his health. so we decided to work with more than one singer - honestly we will work with even more than two... hopefully you will like that idea! we like it a lot because we will be very flexible and our sound will become even more complex! kind regards! Be', grazie per l'"artista poliedrico". Mi spiace non avere molto tempo per scrivere qualcosa di più: ma i romanzi richiedono, a volte, che si dedichi loro più tempo che a un Orkiano! A presto.
adesso siamo fermi, il chitarrista è andato a vivere in Spagna, abbiamo cercato un rimpiazzo ma dopo poco abbiamo deciso di congelare tutto... suoneremo insieme se ricapiterà e per adesso ci dedichiamo ad altri progetti paralleli.
no abbiamo cambiato la cantante/bassista... ora siamo alle prese con una sorta di collaborazioni con vari bassisti... in sostanza .. doviamo trovarne uno fisso... Ci si prepara per registrare pezzi nuovi... cercando di ritornare su una via più cupa e vedere che mi salta fuori dalla testa... Cmq è bello sentire musica come la vostra di questi tempi.
