about us
Tap Out. . . or we'll break your arm off.
Since 2003, fans throughout Connecticut have gotten familiar with the raw energy and fun that makes up Tap Out. A combination of ska, punk, and pop, the band creates a unique mix that leaves audiences delighted.
The eight-member band features a horn section with two trumpets a trombone, and a sax, in addition to a talented guitarist, bassist, drummer, and a dynamic lead singer. The band prides itself in being more than a concert to its fans. To see and hear Tap Out is to be part of the show, and every performance is a party.
The band draws its influences from a wide range of artists, from mainstream to undiscovered talents. While the members love Reel Big Fish and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Tap Out is just as happy channeling Catch 22 and Rx Bandits.
Tap Out is more than just a talented band. The members are dedicated and extremely hard working, producing their own albums and booking their own tours. The band has played all over the Northeast, and in 2005 played a tour beginning in Providence and ending in Baltimore.
Tap Outs resume speaks for itself. In 2005, the band released a six-song EP, and has contributed songs to four compilation albums. They have played in shows with some of their favorites, including Reel Big Fish, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Catch 22, Zebrahead, Montys Fan Club, and FallOut Boy, among several others.
Tap Out has also played many of the concert venues that have become synonymous with Northeastern rock. The band has played the main stage at Hartfords famous Webster Theater, as well as the Chance in Poughkeepsie. Few weekends go by without Tap Out making new listeners into new fans.
