"Tower of Lag" built in the 15th century by my Redneck, Scottish ancestors. The people of Dumfries stay far away from this legendary place of darkness. I was instructed by our guide not to go up the hill or into the tower "It was too dangerous!". So, immediately I went up the hill and into the tower "what would you do?". Following the footsteps of your ancestors is always profound. The Grierson trademark torture was unique indeed. They would smash their enemies into a barrel, insert sharp knives between the wooden planks and proceed to roll the barrels down the Tower's steep hill. There is a verse somewhere in the Bible stating that the sins of the fathers should be visited on their children. "Yes, I have been visited!"
Here I am sitting with a friend from Edinburgh, Scotland (in a crypt, of course!). It was very late and the cemetery was "Pitch Black". I could hear something moving within the crypt, and swear I saw a body standing in the corner when the flash went off. Probably just a homeless person - Scary as hell at that moment though! I'm sure you would have peed your britches.

Legend states that there is a secret passageway between Boleskine Cemetery and where an ancient church once stood facing over the Loch (allegedly destroyed in a fire), now Boleskine House (see video in my blog). Most magicians know this to be a proper location for unlocking the doors to the spirit realms. So, I looked frantically for the physical passageway, but was unsuccessful. If you know where this secret passageway is, I can keep a secret... "I promise!" FYI- finding this house was very difficult. Not only was it hidden in the middle of a forest, no one would take us there. The locals are serious about their legends (far beyond Crowley's reign) & they don't want you there!

"The Blood on Satan's Claw" I prefer the American version to the British (nostalgic reasons), but the latter is much more psychologically damaging. The monster in the American version is really never seen, which is good due to the fact it's a bit goofy in the British version. Still, either one is a must for those who have a taste for the dark cinema.
