Tara...Just wanted to drop by and wish you a very Happy Monday...Thank you so much for all the beautiful comments while I was gone on Vacation....My Vacation went wonderful...I had a hard time leaving...The Oregon Coast is so beautiful, and I couldn't get enough of it....I hope you had a Great Week Last week, and have a Great one this week...Thanks again for being such a Great Friend....Lots of Love Cindy <3
"Friendship is a priceless gift that cannot be bought or sold, but its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold - for gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear, and in the time of trouble it is powerless to cheer. It has no ears to listen, no heart to understand, it cannot bring you comfort or reach out a helping hand. So, when you ask God for a GIFT, be thankful if He sends not diamonds, pearls, or riches, but the love of real true friends." ~~ Helen Steiner Rice
I'm sorry to be so late in commenting back. We celebrated my birthday on Friday, we had a baby shower for my son and daughter-in-law on Saturday and out of town visitors all weekend. I do want to thank all my friends for all the wonderful birthday wishes you sent ... I love them all! I also want to thank each and every one of you your friendship ... that's the best gift of all! I have the best friends on MySpace ... you ROCK! Have a great week! Hugs, Marilyn

~~ Thank You For Being A Friend ~~ ~~~ Andrew Gold ~~~
"Thank you for being a friend Traveled down a road and back again Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant
I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow
And if you threw a party Invited everyone you knew You would see the biggest gift would be from me And the card attached would say Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend
If it's a car you lack I'd surely buy you a Cadillac Whatever you need any time of the day or night
I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow
And when we both get older With walking canes and hair of gray Have no fear even though it's hard to hear I will stand real close and say Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend
And when we die And float away Into the night The milky way You'll hear me call As we ascend I'll say your name Then once again
Thank you for being a friend"
Hi Sweetie, Thank you for being my wonderful friend! Have an amazing weekend! Hugs, Marilyn
I know it is only Thursday, But I am sending my Friday/Weekend Comments today, as I am leaving for vacation tommorow to the Oregon Coast for a Week Of Sun And Fun...I will be back next Friday...I hope you have a Great Weekend, and Great Week!!! Lots of Love Cindy <3
I know what you mean - I never read Blonde - but the movie was enough to have me gripping the sides of my chair and shouting viciously at the TV lol
Let me know what you think if you do get round to reading it - it's very readable and only 154 pages - I read it in one evening - I like books like that - especially when you see the length of my reading list!
Hi Tara - I've just finished reading 'Black Water' by Joyce Carol Oates - have you read it? If you haven't you might be interested to - as I thought of you with giving voices to people who are no longer here - it seems to have been inspired by Chappaquiddick and it's almost how you would have imagined the story from Mary Jo Kopechne's perspective. Do let me know if you have read it! xxx
Monday is back in full force...LOL!!! My weekend at the fair went great...But I think I ate too much...LOL!!! How was your weekend..wonderful I hope....I wanted to wish you a Great Week ahead....Lots of Love Cindy <3
Marilyn was late for everything...but much too early for death......August 4th, 1962
"It was a hundred and seven We were heading to town She had her sleeves rolled up And the windows rolled down That girl is a cowboy Robert Earl was singing out The "Buckin' Song" With every word that Keen was bringing She was singing along That girl is a cowboy
Sometimes the best cowboys ain't cowboys at all She's got my back Even when it's against the wall When I need a friend She's the guy I call 'Cause sometimes the best cowboys Ain't cowboys at all
So I took her tout to show her how to rope and ride I can't believe that it was me That wound up broke and tied The girls is a cowboy So that night I decided We should paint the town I made it home although I really don't remember how That girl is a cowboy
Sometimes the best cowboys ain't cowboys at all She's got my back Even when it's against the wall When I need a friend She's the guy I call 'Cause sometimes the best cowboys Ain't cowboys at all
There's just something that a cowgirl has Ain't no cowboy's got Man she's something when she's one of the boys But something else Any time she's not
Sometimes the best cowboys ain't cowboys at all She's got my back Even when it's against the wall When I need a friend She's the guy I call 'Cause sometimes the best cowboys Ain't cowboys at all."

"Lost and all alone Looking for a reason for being In this crazy world Trying to go on Looking for the answers To the questions And there You were
From the moment You appeared Everything became so clear I'm so glad that You're here, Lord
I smile when I think about The way You've turned my life around I smile when I think about The happiness in You I've found I'm so amazed at what Your love has done And when I think the best is yet to come I smile! I smile!
Wandering the dark Lost in the confusion I thought I was losing my mind for sure I searched with all my heart Looking for direction Something to believe in And there You were And You were reachign down to me You were everything I needed I'm so glad You found me, Lord
'Cause You've turned all my gray skies To the brightest blue, yes, You did And my life feels like sunshine And it's because of You All because of You.. I smile."
Hi Honey, Just sending some smiles your way ... Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Marilyn
~~~~ Bluebird of Happiness ~~~~ ~~ Art Mooney/Edward Heyman and Harry Parr Davies ~~
"The beggar man and his mighty king are only diff'rent in name, For they are treated just the same by fate. Today a smile and tomorrow tears, We're never sure what's in store, So learn your lesson before too late, so
Be like I, hold your head up high, Till you find a bluebird of happiness. You will find greater peace of mind Knowing there's a bluebird of happiness. And when he sings to you, Though you're deep in blue, You will see a ray of light creep through, And so remember this, life is no abyss, Somewhere there's a bluebird of happiness.
Life is sweet, tender and complete When you find the bluebird of happiness. You will find perfect peace of mind When you find the bluebird of happiness. Two hearts that beat as one, 'Neath a new found sun, We are in a world that's just begun, And you must sing his song, as you go along, When you find the bluebird of happiness."
May happiness follow you all of your days ... Have a great week! Hugs, Marilyn
